I had a relatively good experience here tonight. I love the food. I think what Cracker Barrel offers is wonderful. Plus, their prices are reasonable for the portions of food given. The problem I do have is with the service. My server didn’t seem too busy, and she always apologized, yet it did take a lot of time to receive that service. And this isn’t the first time I’ve had this issue with this particular restaurant.

Told there was a 50 min wait and after multiple people who arrived after us had their table called. Someone in our party had to leave after waiting almost an hour. We had to finally ask to be seated. Getting in we see that the restaurant was practically half empty. Our waitress Kloey was great and that’s what makes it a 2 star instead of a 1.

Food is decent. They have a big menu with lots of side options. You can choose to get biscuits or cornbread with your meal. They also do daily specials which is nice. They have a store that’s really fun to look around.

I’m so disappointed in the carry out. I got my order and they forgot a bunch of things. So I paid for getting half of my order basically. On top of that, I prepaid a tip. My order was Buttermilk Pancakes with Fruit Toppings. I didn’t get the fruit topping nor the whipped cream, just what I added extra strawberries. My other order was Cheesecake pancakes. I got everything except for the whipped cream.

It was good food, there was a bit wait on food as I wanted Sunday special and after ordering it and past 20 min they come back that it will take a hour so I changed it. That was on top of 30 min wait as they are understaffed.

Usually when I go here everything is perfect and the food is amazing, the waiters are attentive and our drinks are filled multiple times throughout the meal. Last time was very different, food was amazing and hot but we sat down and Sadie out waitress we saw a total of 4 times throughout the course of our meal and she wouldn’t speak up so that we could hear her. She was very polite but seemed shy. Obviously nothing wrong with that but we had to ask for refills on drinks to a different waitress and got one of the orders wrong and we had to bring our biscuits home because she forgot them until the middle of our meal. Not horrible but she seemed new and had potential. Definitely next time need someone more attentive to our needs and not disappear until our food is ready.

Food is amazing, with big portions and great prices. Food always takes awhile to get but it’s delicious once it gets there and they have a lottle puzzle game on each table and checkers set up in the dinning room, as a kid my brother and I would play checkers to pass the time till the food came.

Overall very good food and some of the best fried chicken I’ve had. The wife’s dumplings were a little bland. I was shocked that the apple butter is now a charged item. I guess it’s been a while since we ate at a Cracker Barrel. Trevor was a very friendly waiter and we would be happy to have him again. The hostess… Not so much.
