Paid over $20 for these grilled chicken “tenders” and, as you can see, they are more like nuggets? Or half tenders? Shamefully chintzy on the part of Cracker Barrel to even call most of these “tenders” as they clearly are not. Huge waste of money so skip the food, but the shop has some interesting and unique items if you’re looking for random stuff.

I don’t understand what’s up with Cracker barrel. They used to be so consistently good. Nothing is the same with them anymore. I ordered 4 pc chicken dinner. They brought out 4 pc chicken that looked like something other than chicken. When you order this dinner. The four pieces are a breast, a thigh, a leg and a wing. When they brought that out I could not believe my eyes. It was awful looking. The so called thigh was a back and the so called breast also looked like a back. It all looked like it was old. When I told the server she took it backto “fix it” they waited a few minutes then brought out the same freaking chicken they gave me the first time. My husband’s chicken was wrong the first time as well. His was supposed to be a 2 breast meal. Honestly if their cook cannot tell the difference of chicken parts, they should not be employed there. Cracker barrel your kitchen people suck, and you obviously do not care. The first bite was warm the second was cold so they are obviously microwaving it. The breading was completely different than it used to be. Definitely needs management in this facility. We travel all across the country. It’s becoming a thing with all of them.

We’re on our way West to see some attractions along Route 66 as well as some national parks. We decided to stop in for dinner since our hotel is nearby. I had the pot roast with broccoli as a side. This is probably the best pot roast that I ever had at a restaurant. Big, savory chunks of roast beef with a very beefy flavor gravy. Excellent flavor. Compliments to the chef. No chunks of fat or gristle. My wife had the Monday special which was a grilled chicken breast with mushroom sauce over rice. She loved it. Our waitress was very nice and took good care of us. Definitely recommend.

It was very loud in there. Walked into the restroom before I left and I was almost knocked over by the smell. It smelled like a cat litter box quite strongly. The server was very nice. The chicken in the dumplings tasted the same as the chicken in a shelf stable meal. Fried shrimp and chicken strips were good. The fries were good. All in all next time I’ll pick some where else to eat.

Food was good as it usually is, the waitress was more attentive than our previous visit and most of the staff seemed happy. The cashier was a bit crass. I don’t know if she’s usually like that or if she was just in a mood but she wasn’t very friendly and seemed kind of rude towards me and some other staff. It also took almost 30 minutes to get my complete “to go” order, it was 2 $5 take home meals so not sure why it took that long to actually get it.

A lot to look and a lot to eat. Very cultured indeed. Very impressed with the antiques that the place has for decors.
Fascinating! Old country stuffs will make you nostalgic for places or homes you used to have.
We were well taken care with their lovely customer service.
We had fish with fries, mini burgers and grilled chicken salad and loaded sweet potato. and all were fine. Too much that we were not able to finish them all.
The place is so popular that we had to wait for about 20 minutes to be able to get a table. There are nice rocking chairs to sit on when you wait outside.
To get in and get out of the restaurant (or to the restroom)you have to go through their souvenir shop with tons of interesting stuff, then you end up buying something on your way out haha
A good stop over for lunch when you are out and about on I35 driving to your destination.

Cracker barrel has really gone down hill. The biscuits were small and hard as a rock. The Hasbrown casserole did not taste like it normally does. I’m sad. Cracker Barrel used to be great.

I love the chicken and dumplings here! I’ve gotten them every time since I was a kid. The service was okay, I only saw my sever three times during my visit. I understand it gets busy though!
I also just love the store in the restaurant. There’s just sooo many cute things to buy, you can get lost in it! The employees over there were super helpful too!
