Not suggesting Cracker Barrel is always a 5-star experience, but when they’re on, they’re on. In my most recent visit, the food was incredible! The Southern Fried Chicken has been a solid everyday addition to the menu. I was always frustrated Cracker Barrel being a Southern restaurant didn’t offer fried chicken. Ever since its been on the menu, it’s my go-to. Also, the dumplings are a must, where else can you order them? The loaded casserole tots are a nice premium option. The service was excellent and the bread was great. I always enjoy a glass bottle of soda on my way out and a gaze around the country store. On a nice night sit in the rocker for a minute and close your eyes. You just might feel like you are somewhere peaceful. This place is about as good as it gets in St. Joe.

Though kind of secluded, the food was amazing and the restaurant was nostalgic and brought back memories of my childhood. The service was great, but rarely they get shortstaffed and it can be a wait.

Alan the manager is the worst person in the world! He does not deserve to be a manager as he is unfit and treats the employees in a degrading manner. No employee should be made to cry after a review but I guess Alan thinks that he knows what he is doing. If you don’t believe me ask the staff what they truly think of him. If my significant other quits a job she enjoys because of this man, I couldn’t blame her. He’s a true piece of work and I’ll tell him that to his face. Makes me so mad that he could even do that! The food is good though, just a manager who does not deserve to be where he is.
