mixed feelings on this one. as this is a rating based on two visits.
first visit and the show braised pot roast was amazing. the vegetable sides were tasty. asked for a biscuit and a corn bread, instead of 2 of either one. only got those as i was leaving. probably for the better since the biscuit was better even with a little butter on it.
second visit and the country fried steak didn’t reach the same level as the pot roast. even the vegetable sides weren’t the same level as the sides with the roast. night and day difference.
the levels of service were much different as well. the 2nd visit was quicker, food came out faster, and more attentive when the drinks needed refills. looked like both nights were the same levels of busy.
total mixed bag. awesome food 1st visit, not quite on 2nd visit. great service on 2nd visit, not quite on 1st visit.
the atmosphere reminds me of a place near Knott’s Berry farm where the dining room has open seating with few booths, but there’s rustic decor.
had high expectations, but i just felt between the 2 visits, things could have been more consistent.

This review applies only to the old Cracker Barrel.
I usually feel like I’m being watched closely in the gift shop area but don’t have a problem with that.
The food is good with generous portions, prices are decent and the waitresses are usually friendly.

Very welcoming atmosphere as soon as we walked in. Our sitting accommodations were met quickly. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the dishes and drinks on the menu. Usually, water is the only beverage I prefer, but the Cherry lemonade is a hit! The meal in the picture is lightly seasoned broccli, baked sweet potato with a marshmallow on top, followed by a seasoned to perfection, fried chicken breast. The second meal was fried catfish, fresh green beans, and delicious potatoes! I had heard terrible things about this establishment and didn’t experience any of the bad things I’ve heard. I will be back to try other dishes and recommend this establishment during lunchtime.

Cracker barrel never disappoints regardless of what location I go to. They have their allergy friendly menu, also work with me to make sure my food is safe. And if an error is made it’s easy to correct with staff.

December 3, 2023 – We went to the Cracker Barrel after church to celebrate our daughter-in-law’s birthday. The place was hopping, the atmosphere was fun filled, the service was outstanding and the food was excellent.
Between the four adults and one grandson our meals varied from breakfast, lunch and vegetarian. Each plate was fresh, hot and delicious. The strawberry, cream cheese filled pancakes were to die for. The chicken tenders were moist and the greens were fantastic.
The manager, Gerald, was working the floor, greeting customers and directing staff. Our server, Kim, was one of the best we have had post COVID. I highly recommend this Cracker Barrel.

Food hasn’t tasted the best the last 2 times we’ve went but the servers are friendly and prices are fair

Food was very good. Service was not. We were there on Sunday morning, but early enough to miss the after-church crowd. We told the server we were waiting on one more couple to join us before ordering food, and it would be 15 to 20 minutes before they arrived. Our drink order (coffees, soda, and water) arrived promptly. As our server is pouring the coffee she spills it everywhere. That happens – no issue with that. She apologized and says she’ll bring new napkins and other items that were spoiled on. They never came, despite her having lots of time to chat with other servers at the entrance to the kitchen, often looking right at our table.
Our other couple arrived and we were still waiting on the server to return.
She comes to our table after everyone had been there for about 10 minutes. I tell her we’re all ready to order our food. She takes the drink order from the newer arrivals and walks away.
She comes back about 10 minutes later to take food orders. Food arrived and was very good.
Service totally inattentive. Big ding for that.

CB used to be a good place to go and eat. Not sure what has happen over the years but the food quality has gone down. Recently ordered my favorite chicken/dumplings plate with three sides and had received the following – chicken and dumplings which looked like chicken noodle soup (and had a bad taste to it), fried okra came out cold, mac and cheese came out not fully cooked. What little bit of food I ate had a negative effect on me the next day to say the least. Will not be going back anytime soon…disappointing.

Came in for a quick dinner, and was greeted with a warm welcome. Christina and Tristen took great care of me an my rambunctious grandsons. Very patient and accommodating. Highly recommend.

The meatloaf was barely warm; however, the chicken was good. The hashbrown casserole was the worst I have ever had and was barely warm. The mashed potatoes were not completely mashed and only had a spoonful of gravy on them. The server did bring more gravy. The biscuits were the worst EVER–hard as a rock and cold. After about 30 minutes, fresh biscuits arrived. In addition, the server heated the meatloaf and brought more hashbrown casserole, but it wasn’t much better and I didn’t eat it. I have been dining at this Cracker Barrel since they opened many many years ago. Never has the food been this bad!
