A rare 5 from me is hard to get. We had 8 oldguys for breakfast today. We had a table but we had more than the table held so the waitress said she could move us to a bigger table. She was one of the best We have had in a long time. Forgot her name but said she moved back up from Texas. Sense of humor,and service and banter was outstanding. I cannot remember all We got but have pictures. One of the first mornings no one took home leftovers. I have not been here in years but was really surprised at this visit. Good job

Love the warmth of the real fire. Busy as all heck… why did we get placed in the back corner when there were so many open seats in the middle section?
Food was greasy a bit… you all cooking in seed oils yet? Gotta get back to safe beef tallow etc.
Server was friendly and quick, but my wife’s burger came out wrong and boys chicken had lots of oil between the bread and meat.
Bathrooms were 50% clean.
Overall, this wasn’t a good experience but, eh… sometimes that happens.

Had supper here on 10.15.2025 and was served by Melissa. She was Amazing and the hashbrown casserole Sheppards pie was outstanding!! Definitely will eat at this location again when I travel though Illinois.

Ordered chicken noodle soup, vegetable platter and breakfast burger.
Chicken soup was not hot.
Broccoli was not cooked.
Burger did not come out until end of the meal.
The check came so late the server thought we left without paying! We were just waiting by the fireplace.

To start on a positive note; Lucas is an amazing waiter. He was very attentive and kept his cool while the restaurant had higher volumes than they anticipated.
I ordered a s’mores latte, I waited about 25 minutes for it to arrive and it tasted like burnt coffee with milk.
After about an hour and 15 minutes our food came out at the same time as the appetizers and bread.
The presentation of the dishes was terrible, there was food smeared on every single one except the chicken fingers.
I had the lunch portion of the chicken and dumplings, the dumplings were huge chunks and not the normal bite size dumplings. There was so much salt it made my mouth hurt. My mom had the country fried chicken and it came out barely warm. The onion petals were really good, they had a nice crunch and a rich flavor.

Had not been to a Cracker Barrel in a while. Was delighted that not much had changed. Ordered strawberry cheesecake pancakes with scrambled eggs. I was so full but ate every bite, it was so good

So let’s start with the positive. The coffee was hot and the sales were amazing 40-70% off and that was the only good things.
It took 39 minutes from order to food to come out and it’s was cool, all the food was cold. My kids weee hungry so they ate. It took over ten minutes for the waitress to come back in order to redo our food. When it came out again… cold! She said that the batch cook the food and it sits, um yeah when the restaurant is set at below 70 everything is cold including the people sitting in the restaurant.
I appreciate our waitress trying to fix the issue but we still paid for cold food. If you come here in summer bring winter coats and long pants and an appetite for luck warm to cold food.

Showed the waitress it was burned.

No problem right?

It’s been a while since I have been to this Cracker Barrel location. The service is still great.
There are some new options to try from the menu. Everything came out hot and fresh.
Definitely recommend trying a new menu item.

We are huge Cracker Barrel fans but this last visit made us not want to go back. My husband ordered the lunch meatloaf and it was thin as a piece of bread and way over cooked.
The worst was my meal and the way it was handled. I ordered the 3 eggs with biscuits and gravy. I asked for poached but they can only do fried with a running middle. All good but the eggs came out hard and not runny at all!! . Our server brought them back and brought out 2 not 3 new eggs exactly like the first.
We have never complained before!!! The manager never came by (it was 2pm so hardly any tables)
No one offered anything and we paid full price for this meal.
The server was very nice and not her fault.
She just kept saying they were having issues in the kitchen.
