Huge portions, great service, quick serving. The new menu has some really yummy options. We always enjoy dining at our hometown Cracker Barrel.

Our first visit to the US since the Cracker Barrel rebrand discussions and we were so pleased to see that nothing has changed! It’s still the same old Cracker Barrel with a wonderful store full of stuff you never knew you needed along with a moke historic dining room, great comfort food and wonderful staff.
Meatloaf was moist and flavoursome, southern chicken was crispy and tender.
So pleased the marketing people graciously backed down to customer pressure.

I hadn’t been here in years and it was my daughter’s first time. The food was fresh, hot, and made to order. Better than I remember it being in the past. The server was very attentive.

The food was warm so I guess thats all that matters, right? I had to ask for something 3 different times, then my husband ask and he got it. Ask for something as simple as a lemon in my tea and didn’t get that. We have never been to the Mansfield restaurant but since we were in the area and its a trusted place to eat, we went. Ill skip this one next time and drive back to Findlay restaurant one.

I told the server that we hadn’t been there in years because our last experience was a mess and that seemed to motivate her to give us an even worse experience. The service was terrible. The food had some serious temp issues, including my daughter’s steak being raw. We ordered the cinnamon bun app and the waited 5+ minutes for plates and silverware, so by then it was cold. The server refused to pre-bus. We sat there with all of our dirty plates. She was annoyed when we asked for refills. We came in with lots of time to kill, heading to a vacation, ready to have a good time. Instead, we were clearly unwelcome. The experience was abysmal. Everyone left hungry. I spent over $100 on being annoyed and hungry. At least I was reminded why we don’t eat there . I’ll pass next time.

Hunger, a formidable foe, it is. To Cracker Barrel, I ventured, seeking balance in the Force… and a well-prepared meal.

Ordered, I did, the Smokey Southern Grilled Chicken, accompanied by Hashbrown Casserole, Mac and Cheese, Cornbread, and a Side Salad. Satisfying, each dish was. The chicken—flavorful and well-cooked, strong with the smokey essence. The casserole, rich and hearty. The Mac and Cheese? Creamy, comforting—a dish of the Light Side, indeed.

Service, kind and attentive the waitress was. A little slow, the food’s arrival, but patience a Jedi must have. Short-staffed, perhaps? Many tables, unbussed they remained, but the restaurant’s spirit endured.

The gift shop—ah, a true treasure trove! Many cute things and sweets to choose from, there are. A temptation of the Light Side, it is, though the credits quickly disappear!

Value, strong it is. A meal and experience well worth the journey. Would I return? Yes. The Force is strong with this one… but a few more hands in the dining hall, they could use.

May the Fork (and the shopping bag) be with you. Always.

Five stars for Kayla R — an absolute legend.

We were at Cracker Barrel for dinner on the evening of January 22, 2026, and somehow got dinner *and* a live nature documentary titled: “Karen in Her Natural Habitat.”

At a nearby table, I witnessed nonstop complaining about every imaginable detail — food, service, timing, probably the rotation of the earth — followed by the grand finale: walking out on the tab. Truly breathtaking behavior.

Through all of this chaos, Kayla R was calm, patient, kind, and unbelievably professional. No visible frustration, no attitude, no loss of composure — just pure grace under fire. She handled that situation about a thousand times better than I ever could have, and still managed to give our table fantastic service at the same time.

Kayla was friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind all night, even while dealing with behavior that would test the patience of a monk. If there were an award for “Handled That WAY Better Than Any Normal Human,” she’d win it daily.

Cracker Barrel is extremely lucky to have her. Please make sure she gets the recognition she deserves — she absolutely earned it last night.

Love the new menu items. The shepard pie was delicious. Huge chunks of roast. They should use a thicker potato base….my tastes. Worth the money. Also, selling some beer and a few other drinks. Nice busy place and they hustle. Still a wait, but worth the wait.

We had not been to a cracker barrel in years, we were reminded why. Started with a wait to be seated while the hostess(?) chatted with another employee. Service person was fine, not exceptional, and offered no insight for food suggestions; guess she doesn’t eat the food. Well, perhaps because the Food was Terrible. Catfish was so greasy was inedible. There was actually grease on it as it came to the table, went all the way through the fish. Gravy for the potatoes basically tastes like salt, the intended ‘base’ flavor was unidentifiable (beef, pork, etc). Cole slaw was ok; slight vinegar flavor. The wife’s pork chops were Dry, topped with unidentifiable gravy. She received a side of gravy for her mashed (dense) potatoes, different than the gravy on the pork chops? She did enjoy the okra. The sweet tea is a mild tea flavor, enjoyed. Atmosphere was OK, fireplace was nice. There were some crooked decorations, perhaps tilted shelves was intentional? Didn’t get a clean feeling from table and chairs, surrounding area, and the table rocked. Highly disappointed and will not be visiting this location again
