Like most cracker barrel. The experience was a good one. Like the atmosphere of the items of days gone by. Our server was pleasant and attentive. The restaurant was clean. The only disappointment was one of my wife favorite dishes has been taken off the updated menu. Overall though the experience at the Cracker Barrel in Sandusky was a great one

No wait or group was seated timely. Wasn’t that crowded was a bit after breakfast. Took our server some time to get to us and because we’d only been brought the lunch/ dinner menu want ready to order… by the time or server returned, beverages were low, no refill offered. Placed or food order, most guest ordered breakfast…I ordered the mommas breakfast with over light eggs, two other guest also ordered some type of breakfast with pancakes… we were given one small bottle of syrup…I requested two more… she only brought back one, I asked is there a limit per order she said let me get you more and brought a condiment cup with syrup. A guest ordered the steak and shrimp combo… it came as creole… he didn’t want to send it back to be corrected as he was afraid it would take too long. My eggs were cold and pancakes were merely warm enough to melt the butter… the bacon came later, about halfway through our food being gone finally came the opportunity to request beverage refills. The bill came and in the beginning we’d advised how it was to be split… it too… was not correct. This is always my go to place for breakfast and I know some days are better than others. I was here on a family trip, that we take often, so we’ll see. Or perhaps I’ll simply buy the groceries and give it a try myself. I love the old fashioned candy and beverages… nostalgic.

Business was slow so our food was ready in no time. The server was great, polite, and helpful. Tried the fried turkey with gravy dressing sweet potato casserole. Everything was plated nicely was pleasantly suprised on the overall dish. Pan roasted gravy was a little salty but is usually very good. Oder 3 sample app loaded potato tots were awesome.

We are not from the area, we were staying at the Kalahari resort for the week so my friend and I decided to treat the kids for breakfast. The hostess said she had to sit us separate but we would be NEXT to each other. We said that was fine. When we went to sit, the tables were not next to each other, they were across. We asked to move our two seater table back to be right next to them, and she said she couldn’t because there wouldn’t be enough room for the table to the right in the picture if someone was seated there. We were upset and should have left but decided to give it a try. Service was good at the table and food was okay, biscuits were delicious. We were there for about an hour I would say, and NO ONE was ever seated at that table. We just wanted to be able to sit by the kids all together and could have, so it made the experience less enjoyable. It just felt like it was huge deal.

This one is for the RVers: On our way to MI from NY, we spent the night at the Sandusky, OH Cracker Barrel. This was a busy little place. There is a city bus that runs all hours and it seems to be packed to the gills. Overall we felt safe and were not awakened by the garbage truck that comes in the early morning hours. We usually stay at Cracker Barrel stores when we are in need of a overnight stop.
I enjoy walking around the store and ordering the hash brown casserole for breakfast.

In the area for a tournament. Stopped in to grab breakfast. Treva was very prompt and attentive to our table. She constantly kept my coffee refreshed and asking if we needed anything. Great table and customer service!

Cracker Barrel has been a favorite for us over twenty years ago and only could find CB in Tennessee then later on 13 & I71 and now we are spoiled in Sandusky!! Great food, a fun store and Kyleigh did a great job taking care of us-breakfast all day-just stop by you know you want to!!
