From the hostess to my waiter Evan, my experience was fantastic! I am a happy-going person, so it was thoroughly appeasing to be confronted with such a warm atmosphere. The kindness and respect right out of the gate left me excited to come back. Not to mention, the pancakes are FREAKING INCREDIBLE!!!

The grilled catfish was cooked perfectly and very tasty. My bf got the country fried steak and said it wasn’t as good as it usually is. The server didn’t bring plates with our biscuits and it was hard to get her attention. She forgot a few other items that we asked for too. But she was very friendly.

All the food was barely warm. Very disappointing. Service was slow. Servicer stated the kitchen got backed up so she had to help them. Im assuming that’s why our food was not hot and fresh. I had pinto beans as one of my sides. She said to me twice im still trying to find a spoon. It was just bad overall. I can take my hard earned money elsewhere.

The food was great and our server was sweet but the restaurant didn’t have any bread ready ubtil right before we left. And even then it was just corn muffins. I was really wanting a biscuit! Someone in the kitchen was not doing their job.

Ask for Evan as your server! He’s absolutely fantastic! Very charismatic, sweet and attentive. He made this trip absolutely worth it.
Even with the pre-holiday shortened menu, there was plenty of delicious options. But seriously, Evan was amazing. He kept our drinks filled, service with a smile, and even kept us entertained as we inquired about pre-Thanksgiving Broccoli Cheese Casserole.

Busy Cracker Barrel. Stopped by this Middlesboro, Kentucky location on the way to my hotel. After a long day, I wanted to grab a good meal and eat in the privacy of my hotel room. My intention was to order the Cobb salad, which was a favorite of mine. Unfortunately, the Cobb salad has been removed from the menu. I selected my second favorite; veggie plate. My obligatory veggie plate is; fried okra, hashbrown casserole, Mac & cheese and turnip greens with cornbread muffins. My veggies were very good and tasty. However, the veggie plate is better when you enjoy it inside the dining room. It was my choice to take out. Vegetables are always better served fresh from the kitchen. Kim was my server and she provided friendly, efficient service while taking my order. As is almost always the case, Cracker Barrel was quite busy. A fairly long line of customers waiting to pay. My takeout order took approximately 20 minutes from start to finish. This location has the traditional feel and look of Cracker Barrel; rocking chairs on the porch, general store as you enter, a fireplace and lots of interesting items on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Of course, although my visit was in early October, Christmas trees and gifts were on full display in the general store. Overall, I was very pleased with my takeout experience.

While I miss the traditional cozy atmosphere, the meals are always a refreshing break from the fastfood alternatives. It’s great to know while traveling across this country that I’m never really too far from a home style meal, with meat, fixin’s, and sweet tea (or breakfast at any time).

Our son & his wife just came home after having their baby girl. We wanted to gift them a Cracker Barrel Chicken & Dumplins Dinner. I purchased the dinner & sense their were going to be 9 people there & not knowing what the servings look like except the pictures from the website, I ordered 2 extra sides of Chicken & Dumplins. Please look at the photos on the website & please look at what I received. I was in a panic when I got home. I had to go to my pantry & add a can of corn, a can of beans, & there was nothing I could do about the Dumplins. The food was good but we felt shorted on the servings.

The server we had was excellent! She did everything great. Drink was never empty, she gave us great recommendations. Overall a great experience. My parents recently moved from california to tennessee, and they were like you have to try cracker barrel. Now, I know why everybody loves it.Not only is their store amazing, but the food was so good and fresh. I got the steak with mashed potatoes and and dumplings. It was one of the best steaks i’ve had. I know they have one located in california.But it’s not next to me.So I wish that they had more. Cuz I would love to go there again. And i’ve heard that one is not good
