My party of three enjoyed our food and the service. We tried the fried pickles as an appetizer. They were delicious. I had the dressed hamburger and Cole slaw. Enjoyed both. One cousin had grilled cheese and Mac and cheese and was quite pleased with it. The other cousin had her hamburger with tomato, onions, and pickle with side order of fries. They both enjoyed their food.

We got the fried beignets for the appetizer they were very good. The meals were good, but the biscuits were a little over cooked and the corn bread didn’t have much flavor. Over all it was good. Staff was very friendly. Also the gift shop was the most reasonable priced one I’ve seen in awhile and I got this cool cup for only 6$

One might expect a typical Cracker Barrel restaurant, but this one is a cut above the rest. The food was prepared to perfection and didn’t taste like a “chain” restaurant’s food. Service was first rate, unlike many Cracker Barrel stores, which tend to be slow and less attentive than most. BUT this particular restaurant stands out. This store should be singled out for commendation. If all Cracker Barrel stores were like this one, there would never be an empty seat in the house. Kudos!

The place was almost empty but it still took my server more than 15 minutes to come for my beverage order. As usual, the chicken and dumplings were somehow both rather bland but over peppered. Still more than edible though. I just wish they’d cut back the black pepper by at least half.
