We visit Fort Payne/Rainsville, Alabama at least once a month and frequent Cracker Barrel. The last few visits it seemed as the service was not as good as well as the food. This past weekend my family and I visited on Sunday during lunch and let me say – the atmosphere was a complete change. The servers and staff were amazing – people were coming in and leaving quickly but with a smile on their face. The food was amazing and fresh. The servers were young and friendly – the management team were visible and meeting and greeting everyone. I applaud the staff and management for their commitment to their job and customer satisfaction. I highly recommend this location for your next meal!! Thanks again!!

I really like and appreciate the fact that the store, bathrooms, and restaurant is always clean. The atmosphere is great, and I can’t say enough about the employees, very kind, helpful and always in a cheery mood. But eating there is just never worth it. Every single time I have sat down and ate, and I have lived in the Ft. Payne area for more than 20 years, the food is always, and I mean always cold and usually old, with the exception of made to order meals, and then everything else except for the actual made to order part is still cold. Even the bread is usually cool. So that was why I gave them such a low rating.

Ahhh … the traditional Cracker Barrel remains in tact! Hallelujah. We had to say goodbye to my grandfather over the weekend, but at least a few of us were able to get together for a nice nostalgic breakfast at Cracker Barrel. Our waitress was amazing! She’s a “Rising Star,” so her name wasn’t on her apron. She was great though, and so were our orders.

I’m never disappointed at the Fort Payne Al location. Everything is great. I’ve never had a problem with an order. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is always fantastic. One of mine and my familys go to places.

The food was as always, delicious and consistent. One of many reasons I love eating at Cracker Barrel is because the food is consistently delicious. The fireplace was burning and the feeling of home was in the air. The staff all were courteous and friendly. Love the gifts in the store too. Clean restaurant, great food, great service! My favorite place to eat!

We are from the Huntsville area and are doing a weekend trip to Fort Payne. This Cracker Barrel rates in the top 5% of the 50 or more Cracker Barrel restaurants we have visited in the last 20 years. Waitresses trained, hot food, fast service, delicious properly prepared food, and extremely clean. Overall great experience. We have spent 3 times as much $$$ at Huntsville restaurants which didn’t satisfy us as much as this Cracker Barrel. Tip them well. Chloei did exceptional and should be a trainer.

Not too busy for a Saturday afternoon. Ordered our beers, 20 mins go by Server comes to table just about everything was out ( 5 beers ), well then we got food Chicken was bland no spice not even pepper, Mac and cheese was COLD and lumpy, I didn’t even make it home before I threw up. That Mac and cheese was bad. Sometimes saying ” I’m Sorry ” and would you like me to warm it up, doesn’t cut it. Thanks but no thanks.

I have been going to Cracker Barrel since I was a kid and always loved it. The food, atmosphere, and service always made it feel like home. But, in the last few years we’ve had nothing but bad experiences in every location we visited around the country. Horrible service, bad food, orders prepared wrong, etc., at every location, made me swear off Cracker Barrel for good. We just recently moved to Lookout Mountain in Fort Payne and decided to give this location a try. This is the first Cracker Barrel we have been to in over a year due to how bad our past experiences had been. Our server Jackie was exceptional, and the food was perfect. Jackie was attentive, made sure we had everything we needed, and checked back several times to make sure we were good. Jackie single-handedly won back a life long customer. This was the best experience we’ve had at any restaurant chain in years. Bravo to Jackie and the Fort Payne Cracker Barrel team!
