Uncle Herschel would be so disappointed.
It took us a few minutes to get seated despite the place being emptier than a checkerboard with only one piece left. No big deal though — we entertained ourselves by counting all the rocking chairs and debating who still actually buys giant checker sets.
Then came the drinks… or rather, the waiting game. We sat there parched while watching the three other tables in the building get refills like they were VIPs. By the time our drinks finally showed up, they arrived in dramatic fashion — carried in with the meals like some grand finale.
The food? Let’s just say if Cracker Barrel is known for comfort food, this location served discomfort food. The mashed potatoes looked like they had been in the witness protection program — wrong color, no flavor, and definitely not safe to eat. The meatloaf was drier than a church bulletin and had edges so burnt it could’ve doubled as charcoal.
I asked for syrup for my French toast and got a small cup that looked like it came from a child’s tea set. Then came the “steak tips,” which were less of a portion and more of a suggestion. To be fair, the manager did bring out a whole bowl of them as an apology — which saved this place from a 1-star review.
Oh, and the biscuits? They had black marks on them like they’d been in a bar fight.
Worst Cracker Barrel I’ve ever been to. And I’ve been to enough to know Uncle Herschel would’ve flipped a rocker over this one.

Loved sitting in today! Food and Service was exceptional and my waitress,Joanna, checked on me often! She even got me the check before I started eating, to which I loved.

We most always have great waitresses/waiters. We have noticed the biscuits are so much better…big, fluffy and hot…just like they used to be…and we get four, not just two. The food gets increasingly better than it was for a while. We like your changes!

We haven’t visited this location in a while, and they still didn’t disappoint. The waitress was very nice, friendly, and very attentive. I ordered the hamburger steak dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was cooked done, as I requested and it was very juicy, and full of flavor, I asked for it smothered in all the goodness, and it was well worth it. Mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans were on point as always, tasty. My son ordered the tenders, we actually both wanted the bone in chicken but unfortunately, we went on the wrong day. He said his tenders were juicy, but some parts were a little hard. He also had the steak fries, which he enjoyed the most. Oh and I almost forgot my Peach Mimosa!!! They have different flavors and I have tried them all but this one is always the BEST. Overall, it was a great experience for my son and I and we will be back, thanks for making it great for us.

I love Cracker Barrel and this by far was the best service I have ever received. Everyone was attentive and friendly and the food was amazing! I had the strawberry cheesecake stuffed pancakes and they were wonderful. You can tell that they work as a great team at this location in Albany Georgia. I was traveling through and I will definitely be back!

This location SUCKED! They absolutely RUINED my first taste of Cracker Barrel so badly that I may never go back to ANY of them! The rolls were hard as a rock. The service was slow and uncaring! I ordered a steak and grilled shrimp. Steak med rare. Steak was Well done! They were out of the grilled shrimp and brought fried shrimp instead which was way smaller than the picture. Not to mention the baked potato was DRY and also over cooked. I asked for butter and they bring me out this USED looking container with barely any butter in it! There were no napkins on the table. I ended up using my pants! The him/her looking waitor didn’t even offer any. I felt like I was intruding instead of being welcome! The only thing I enjoyed was LEAVING! FYI, not that it should matter, but I’m white and this location was predominantly black!

Taken to a table that needed cleaning. Hostess disappeared for several minutes to get a rag. Left no silverware. Waitress took our drink orders and food order without incident but I finished my drink quickly. In the hour and a half we were there I nor my husband ever got a refill despite asking 3 times. Our food came in about 20 minutes. Asked for silverware and waited quite a while before going to get it ourselves. My husband ordered country fried steak. When the rest of food came waitress informed us they didn’t have it. It took another 15 minutes to get his catfish and okra that both were undercooked. Ordered biscuits when placing food order. Had to ask for them 4 times. They were finally brought after getting rest of food. My trout was cold and overcooked. My daughters pancakes were burnt. I sent them back. The waitress wandered around socializing with them the plate of pancakes in her hand for several minutes. after waiting another 20 minutes I asked for them to be removed from the check. I always love Cracker Barrel’s but this experience was all around terrible.

A very nice Cracker Barrel. All employees were amazing and very accommodating. I ask our server about buying a pie and she went and put one at the cashier stations. The food was out standing, and plenty. We took a lot home! Price was reasonable.

I had such a wonderful experience at Cracker Barrel thanks to our amazing waitress, JoAnna! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home from the moment we sat down. Joanna went above and beyond to make sure our drinks were always full and our food was perfect. She had such a cheerful personality that made the whole meal even better. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely enjoys what they do, and JoAnna’s kindness and care truly stood out. If you visit Cracker Barrel, ask for JoAnna or as I like to call her JoJo — she’ll make your day!

We have been to several Crackel Barrel restaurants for years. Todays food was not as good as we remember from over the years. The hash brown casserole was flavorless and did not look like or taste like there was any cheddar cheese in it. The meatloaf also did not taste the same, and it looked like they had just cut it without any uniform shape. The restaurant also did not have any hamburger steak and the waitress said they were having to cook more carrots. We had the same proplems the last time we were at this location. We wiil probably never go back to Cracker Barrel .
