I was disappointed. I ordered 5 meals for carry out for my family. They were busy, very busy, so I expected a long wait time.. which was kindof my plan so I would have time to shop in the store while I waited. I waited over an hour BEYOND the quoted time. Once my order was ready, I checked it, I was missing an entire meal, a premium side that I paid extra for, I had to ask for the condiments that I ordered SEVERAL times before receiving them. I still ended up leaving without one of my sides (fresh fruit) for one of the meals. The only apology I got was from the young man working in the store that processed my payment. He was awesome! All in all, I was disappointed, but did not complain or make a big deal, bc what’s the point? I don’t mess with people that are preparing food for myself and my family. The food itself (what I actually received of it anyways) was phenomenal, as always. This is directly aimed at Cracker Barrel, please DO BETTER. I paid well over $100, and tipped over 20% on a carryout order, and still had to basically beg for what I ordered and paid for. I prefer to dine in, bc I’ve never been let down there, but this time that wasn’t possible. This was my first carryout order from them, and will be my last. I will definitely still dine in, but at least now I know not to bother with carryout. The store always has super cute, one of a kind gifts and candies, and is a huge part of why I chose to get carryout from them in the first place. That is why I gave 2 stars. The food quality was great, and the store is awesome! My experience and value for the money was terrible and disappointing. Please keep in mind that they were REALLY busy and I’m sure overwhelmed, but they didnt bother to check and make sure my order was complete and accurate, and once I did, it took an additional 30 minutes to get what I paid for, all to realize I still didn’t get one of my sides :/ I am always patient and willing to wait for a complete and accurate order, but to wait THAT long, and still not even receive what I paid for? It felt impersonal and like I was bothering them just to get what I already paid for.

This location has had a makeover and I’m here for it. Like with any kind of change , it was mainly aesthetic, with some new menu additions and a few classic offerings , no longer available. The staple breakfast and lunch menus remained pretty much the same, with the staple food with revised names and descriptions. Biscuits and gravy still are very tasty! The veggies are veggie! The salads fresh and crispy! The pot roast , the Fried chicken, the pancakes ,Grandpa’s breakfast and all the fixins’ are always , down home southern style. It’s because it’s in town, around the corner , for the food and for the prices. We appreciated the new and improved clean environment and aesthetic , while enjoying our favorite meals. It’s what we came to eat, & we love the friendliness and kindness in the way the staff served us, from start to finish. Also, not having a loud environment , in very crowded dining rooms. We did not feel like we were sitting at the other patrons tables, we were spaced apart sufficiently . We had dined in the late chilly morning on a Sunday in January. The fireplace was a nice spot to warm up as always and the nostalgic chess board for the young kids and parents to go ply a round or two was still set up “fireside”… The gift shop’s still got it all,y’all!!!
And btw…the restaurant name has always meant to me , “crack open your piggy bank and walk out with a barrel” of gifts for all the Ones you love!

My brothers and I have been meeting at this location since 1916. My older brother has I’ll health and we meet here at least twice sometimes three times a year. To day we were surprised to find the inside has been painted a lighter comor, and we are thrilled. With John on a canethe dark inside was kind of dangerous. While sitting in the rocking chairs we always get someone to take photos of us. I saw a nice man smile as he walked up,so I asked him to take a few photos. He was so gracious and joked around with us. He said he was the manager , so I told him how much we liked the new paint. He thanked us for our comments. We rocked a little longer, but John got tired. He lives in Woodstock, so we drive from Knoxville. We hope to see the nice manager and his friendly staff on our next trip.

I have visited this location before and it is very hit or miss. Sometimes you get good service and sometimes it is awful. This time was not a good time. Although we were seated almost immediately upon entering, they sat us at a dirty table (see photos). Thankfully I told my waiter and he wiped down the table and swept underneath. I ordered the grilled chicken tenderloin meal with dumplings and carrots. My food came out good and was decently hot. It was difficult to get drink refills as our waiter was preoccupied a lot. I had a birthday coupon for a dessert so I got that to-go. It wasn’t until I got home that I had a chance to enjoy my coca-cola cake and it was the worst I’ve ever had. The cake was drenched in at least a pound of chocolate sauce on top, probably to cover up the bad cake. The cake was very crumbly and when I went to take a bite it broke in half and crumbled all over the container. It was very dry, like it was old. Overall our service was average or a little below average. The food was decent minus the cake.

I haven’t ate at cracker barrel in awhile but this experience was amazing. My server Ronia was excellent and went above and beyond. She knew exactly what needed before we asked for it. She deserves a raise for the smile, excellent service and just being polite.

Went into this location for dinner and was very impressed. We were warmly greeted by Kimberly M. She was very nice professional and such a quality server. We’re definitely going to go back for dinner seems to be less crowded than breakfast. Her suggestions on our meals were great such personal service will be back more regularly because of the quality atmosphere food and service we received.

Ate an early dinner here today. Jennifer was our server, and she was fantastic and patient with us. It was about a 40 minute wait on our food, which wasn’t too bad. Food came hot and fresh. Jennifer checked on us a few times and kept my lemonade full the whole time I was there. Nothing but a great experience overall.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday morning for breakfast with a group of six people. The food was served promptly and tasted delicious. The service was exceptional, as the waitress frequently checked on us to ensure our satisfaction with the food and refilled our drinks. However, it’s worth noting that the restaurant can become quite crowded and experience long queues during peak hours.

Update:

Family wanted to dine in and I forgot about my bad experiences here. Had I remembered, I would’ve suggested we go to another location. The service was bad. Our server brought out our to go orders with our salads! She overcharged me and completely disregarded my order for Mama’s french toast. The managers were nice but I won’t be visiting this location again.

Side note: nobody can park here either!

I will stop getting peach cobbler from Cracker Barrel. This is the size that was provided to me as a takeout order. The 2 sides I got are filled to the brim while the peach cobbler is barely even half. And to add insult the meatloaf is burnt.

Update: I ordered here again today, simply because it’s the best option in the area for southern cooking. And once again they disappointed me. I ordered and extra side (dumplings) and they left it out giving me an extra order of mashed potatoes instead.

We visited on a early Saturday morning. Everyone was happy and energetic. Our breakfast was delicious enjoyed every bite. Our waitress was very helpful offering recommendations. Alot of old memorabilia hangs on the walls giving this place a cool aura. My experience was overall good. Everything was expected another cool chain restaurant. Would definitely recommend checking out the gift shop before you leave. You will find something that fits you.
