I ordered Chicken and Dumplings, but there were about 3 small pieces of chicken in a bowl full of dumplings! I was told that there’s only supposed to be 2 pieces of chicken! Our server, Janette, who was very nice, got $2 off the bill, but the Lesson is to Never Order Chicken & Dumplings again from CB. BTW, the broccoli w/melted butter was delicious . The fried and grilled trout my boyfriend had was good.

I do not recommend this place, frozen food, flies, lousy service, and we had to wait 30 minutes for dinner, the coffee was completely ice cold, it looked like yesterday’s coffee, do not waste your time or money here

One of the worst experiences ever at Cracker Barrel. There was just two of us eating. It took the waiter 10 minutes just to come take our drink order. We were given 2 forks, 2 knives, and 2 spoons rolled into one napkin. We were never given more napkins. Generally, our food is always good but not here. The eggs were not thoroughly cooked. The hash brown casserole should have been called mashed potato casserole. The sausage was nasty and we had to use a knife to cut it because it was so over cooked and dry. Biscuits that came with the meal were never brought out. The only good was the pancakes. The employees did not show basic politeness to customers. No on asked if we enjoyed our meal or showed basic courtesy through polite conversation.

Thankfully, the food was Cracker Barrel good & our server was good, but… well, I’ve never seen a CB so empty. We were here for an early dinner (around 4pm), so we expected it to be not busy, but wow. And they are short staffed. Our server was training others, so we didn’t get the attention we’ve come to expect. One section was empty, our section had 2 tables that were just finishing & the other section had 3 tables seated. 15 minutes after we sat, we looked around the now empty section & 6 tables still had dirty dishes on them. About 15 minutes before we left, someone came out to clear the tables…the way the dishes were thrown into the bin, I imagine some dishes were broken! It was sooooo loud. My mom had to turn her hearing aids down. The bathrooms needed attention, too. My chicken & dumplings were better than other CBs, not too thick, not too runny. The fried trout, meatloaf & brisket melt were all delicious. So you will get good food here, but until they are staffed & trained, it won’t be the experience you would expect.

My husband and I stopped by this restaurant while traveling back from florida. The restaurant was clean, easy accessible, and had plenty of parking. If you’ve been to this restaurant before you know that it is a company by a little General Store contained in its lobby. I love the fact that you can get breakfast at any time which is exactly what we did. Our waitress was extremely nice and very accommodating. You made the order fairly quickly and the food wasn’t that far behind. I love that the staff is so accommodating to traveling patrons. They seem to really understand based on their location that there can be this overflow traffic from Travelers commuting through the area. The food was great, the atmosphere was great, and the restaurant was conveniently located which made the stop pretty quick for us. Would definitely recommend for a visit if you’re in the area!
