Our waitress was excellent, beautiful and I love her sweet Virginia dialect. And the food, oh, the food is delicioso, especially the biscuits and meatloaf. There was a roaring fire in the fireplace that kept us warm and toasty on a cold rainy day in November. Cracker Barrel Old Country Store don’t you change a thing! Thank you Cracker Barrel in Staunton, Virginia!

This place rocks. Brought in a few friends to eat lunch.
Semi busy and got very busy as we looked at the menu.
Our waitress,Jenny, was awesome! Absolutely on top of everything. Order was complicated due to allergy issues, but she made sure to take the time to get it right and it was! Perfect !
She was always checking back in and making sure we had all we needed. Never stressed.
Funny thing is, was at the one in Harrisonburg a few weeks back and had ordered the same thing, and it came out horrible, and they did nothing to correct the issue. Not edible and rotten attitudes.
The one in Staunton was totally opposite, they made sure it was right, checked in often and was a great experience. We would highly recommend this place. It’s worth it to be able to have this service. Food was right. Food tasted great. Good was cooked as we asked .
Great experience, Jenny our waitress was a delight and she never seemed like we was a burden, unlike the other place in hburg.. Even the manager was a pleasure to speak with. And it didn’t seem we didn’t matter. He took time. Listened.
Hopefully Cracker Barrel higher ups read this, and note the difference in my review.
Again, this place rocks, highly recommend it.
Great food, clean place and will definitely come back !!

Best CB to boondock @ ever. The place is 3 minutes off the interstate exit, but its @ the top of a hill & is surrounded by woods. Outside of the train tracks with a freight coming through once a night (no horns) it is dead quiet after CB closes.
The food was average. Pot roast was tender, gravy & mashed taters good, & biscuits were the best biscuits ever. I was a little disappointed with the biscuits beignets, though, as they have gotten’ a LOT smaller, but other than that we had a good meal, too. Place is very clean, too.

Decent location, stopped on a 14 hour road trip for some breakfast and it was a nice break and gave me nostalgia especially with the milk cartons since restaurants don’t usually do that back where I’m from, just wish you had a nice location like this closer to Long Island or NYC area since the nearest one would be deep NJ or CT.

Great atmosphere and not too crowded on a Saturday afternoon. No wait to be seated, and food was ready in 15 minutes. Kind and courteous staff. Nice location, especially if you just want to stretch your legs or walk and animal. Behind the store is good RV and trailer parking. Entrance is somewhat tight but just need to be careful making the right turn exiting the parking area.

Always love my Cracker Barrel! Heather was an awesome waitress! They allow overnight RV parking here. Waitress said they have had RVs all the way around the parking lot before when they came to work! Courteous, friendly staff.

Wednesday lunch; about 40-50% capacity, lots of open tables. So they weren’t slammed or anything, but we waited nearly an hour for our food. We also had a very inattentive server & part of our food tasted like it had been sitting under heat all day. Extremely dry. I didn’t bother sending it back because it had taken so long to get it initially. Can’t say I’ll be back to this location.

Excellent service, had a new cook and only cooked one piece of chicken for our order. Waitress caught it and had cook cook another and brought it out piping hot. Will go back next time in the area. Any time we travel we plan meals to stop at Cracker Barrels. Consistent, you know what to expect. And as always, clean bathrooms.

Ii have always loved CB and always loved CB’s chicken and dumplings! But, this time the it was terrible and the gravy was like someone mixed up water in the dumplings and very doughy!! My husband got the trout dinner which is what he always gets. (not good)! The service was not good! The waitress came to our table, took our order, brought the food, we had to ask for biscuits and ketchup (which is not the biggest deal). She never came back to the table after she brought our food for water and tea fills or the bill. We had to ask another waitress several times. The other waitress said she had a call she had to take. The one waitress said she was busing and taking care of other tables. We did not see her at all after she brought our dinner. They were not busy at all when we were eating! This was Not a good experience at all! We we will not be going back to any CB’s again!! Not worth the money we paid! The woman at the register was very nice!

We stopped at about 8pm on our way home for dinner. I get it, it’s end of night, the staff is “over it” and guests and serving, but this is still your job; maybe pick another industry if you just can’t. I also understand everyone has an off night. Our waitress was for sure NOT having a good night. We gave her a LOT of grace. We were polite, made sure not to ask for any extras, or anything special-just ordered straight off the menu (two waters, one coffee, and two mamas French toast breakfasts. I just wanted French toast and bacon but couldn’t find it on the menu and she said they didn’t offer it as only French toast, since she was standing at the table tapping her pen on her pad I ordered the whole breakfast).

She never brought out biscuits and cornbread while waited and forgot the coffee. Someone finally brought coffee.

When our food arrived about 15 minutes later, the ENTIRE tray upended all over the floor, our table and part of a plate hitting my boyfriend on his leg. There wasn’t a single plate whole.

We gathered our things and moved to another table.

Someone different came out and we asked for some biscuits and cornbread while we waited for our food to be remade. They were well done-good for the corn bread not so much for the biscuits.

The new food was brought quickly brought by someone new, but we got to listen to our VERY frustrated waitress cleaning up the mess at the other table complaining the whole time.

Bad day? Sure. Accidents happen that why they are called accidents and not purposes, but keep the complaints away from the customers who just had their entire meal dropped all over them and then still had to pay for their meal.

We never had anyone come over and apologize. Had to wait extra through no fault of our own, and were made to feel like we had inconvenienced everyone.

We did ask to speak to the manager when we checked out. She claimed that she was not aware that anything had happened. She said that she thought the tray had been dropped in the kitchen and had been remade. She offered no apology.
