This was one of the better places to eat in the East End 2 years ago. Service is very slow even if not busy. Food for the most part is warm but not hot. A few of the staff are great others are just putting in time until they get off. You must ask for biscuits and drink refills if you want them.

Took 15 min to place orders. Ordered sit down and take home meals. Waitress didn’t put 3 take home meals in the large CB bag and I went home 21 miles away. Next day, called manager and he said we had to come to his CB and I told him he should reimburse the meal cuz it will cost me $10 in gas and 2 hours to drive there and get the $15 of take home meals. He refused si that’s why I am writing a crappy review.

I can’t even give it zero stars. We walked in and were seated immediately. Took the waitress 15 minutes to come over to our table to even give us a drink order. Two waters and a sweet tea. Then another 10 minutes goes by and no drinks. At that point, we’ve been waiting for 30 minutes close to it and no service. Restaurant was empty. Tables had not been cleared. My husband and daughter got fed up, walked over and canceled our orders. I spoke to the manager and she said that we’re doing the best that we can and they’re backed up the restaurant was empty. There’s no way they were backed up. I told him they needed to do better with customer service and not leave people for 2030 minutes Doing nothing.

Very laid back and popular location for the area. I’m always able to enjoy an uninterrupted meal and lengthy conversation with my dearest neighbor friend. Servers don’t rush you out and most are pretty attentive. Prices have risen, like others, but the meals are not worth it.

Was seated promptly and ordered breakfast. Also ordered promptly! The server changed my breakfast order without confirming or asking me and I received a different order. When I pointed this out I was asked if I wanted to just order the missing items extra. I declined and continued. At some point the first half of my meal arrived and was told the second half would be coming soon. 20 minutes later the second half still hasn’t arrived and my first half is cold. No stopping in to ask if I need anything else (refills etc). Very much felt ignored. Food I did receive tasted fine.

I had the fried catfish meal, my granddaughter had the braised beef. She said that her meal was the best restaurant meal she has had in a long time. She is a picky eater and she ate everything. She tasted some of my fish and I tasted the beef, we both was like, this is good, both meals. We said that the next time we visit, we will get the same, but switch plates.

The twenty minute seating wait was not bad , however the food wait was horrible… we waited over forty five minutes for it!! I asked to speak to a manager but they never came.. my pancakes were barely warm but I knew sending them back may have caused another long wait… i understand sometimes it gets busy but this was unacceptable ..by the time some people got their food they immediately asked for a to go box.. defeated the purpose of eating out. It wii be a while before I visit again.
