We enjoy Cracker Barrel Old Country Store for breakfast or for lunch. We stopped at the restaurant in Waynesboro and the atmosphere was just great. It still has the old-school look. Our fried fish dinner was very good and filling. The service was also great, friendly and very attentive.

Easily the worst experience I ever had a cracker barrel. Definitely done with this place for good. Lets start off everytime I come here they take something I liked. They took away hashbrown casserole tots. Lady said they didnt so she brought us hushpuppies with cheese and bacon on the side. My water with lemon had black things in it. My biscuits I asked for came with my meal rather than before and they were burnt… one entree we got was burnt (i wouldve never brought that to the table with it looking like that.) My entree had a chicken tender the size of a popcorn chicken from kfc and the other 5 decent sized ones were overcooked and dry as can be. Manager checked on me as it seemed like he could see i was unhappy… but there was so much to be fixed it just wasnt worth the headache. The one positive is i had enough points to get some money off so its not like my points are going to waste. Too many other decent places in the area to eat at.

20251230 Ordering online and curbside pickup was so convenient. My food was delicious as expected. I love the reasonably priced food, too. My extremely finicky pups love the chicken in the chicken and dumplings and other chicken dishes. CB is my go-to roadtrip food now. No more fast food!

My husband ordered the southwest flavored chicken breasts and I had the veggie plate. Our server was a young lady named Eden. She was very attentive and cheerful. Her service was great. The food was delivered correctly and was delicious! A great experience!

Had a nice breakfast! We had a party of 14. We got there around 8:30 am which was a good time with our large group. When we were leaving around 10:30am it was starting to get really busy.
Food was good, service was great. Highly recommend the strawberry stuffed pancakes and the loaded hash browns!!

Great experience at Cracker Barrel Waynesboro. Charisse was our waitress and she was courteous, friendly and excited to have us there. Bummer the meatloaf was out but the Fried Chicken never disappoints. Manager Charles to the rescue!! Meatloaf came out after I was half done with my meal so I got a slice of heaven to go. BTW, Charles (the Manager) was out greeting guest and waiting on them. Such charisma this man has. All the food was great and the service was top notch. Place was clean and all the staff were focused. Great prices, we’ll be back.

Made an over the phone order to pick up in store. Drove the 25 minutes there to pick up. It was ready when I got there. Made a quick visual of everything and it appeared to all be there. Got back home and handed out everyone’s food to them. My son then said the chicken taste funny. When I inspected it. It was still raw. Yes freaking raw chicken. So disappointed. This will be my final visit. I called back to the store and they offered to make me more chicken but by then we had all lost our appetite. They did refund me but only for the tenders.

Overall things were good. McKenzie did a great job as server. Issue was from the kitchen. One of my side dishes was steamed broccoli. It came out about 5 minutes after most of my meal was served. And even being late, it was more on the raw side versus being cooked. This wasn’t just an issue at my table. Another server brought out only part of a table’s order and told one person their order would be out in about 5 minutes. A kitchen has to do better. People want all their food delivered at the same time, especially when multiple people are eating together.

Whenever we’re on the road, Cracker Barrel is our family’s first choice — hands down. We’ve tried all the typical chains over the years – Cracker Barrel stands out every single time. There’s something about the experience that goes beyond just the food. It’s familiar, cozy, and consistently welcoming no matter what state we’re in.
We love starting the day there. The pancakes are golden, crisp around the edges, and full of flavor — not the bland, syrup-dependent kind you sometimes get elsewhere. The eggs are always cooked the way we like, the bacon’s just right, and that hash brown casserole? Easily the best comfort side on any breakfast menu. My kids look forward to the biscuits and gravy, and my wife always ends up grabbing a coffee and browsing the country store while we wait for the food. It’s become part of our road trip rhythm — stretch our legs, grab a great meal, and reset for the next leg of the drive.
What I also appreciate is how every Cracker Barrel location, whether it’s in Virginia, or Texas, keeps a level of consistency that’s rare these days. The servers are friendly, the food comes out hot, and the atmosphere makes you feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s home. It’s never just a quick stop — it’s a break that feels like a breather from the road.
In a world full of fast food and rushed service, Cracker Barrel still delivers an experience that’s slower, more thoughtful, and full of character. For our family, it’s not just a place to eat — it’s a travel tradition. We wouldn’t trade it for anything else.
