Very chatty waitress . Not with us but another table. Because of that our food was luke warm not hot but we ate it. My first time at a Cracker Barrel.

A place to bring the whole family with family sized portions. The sampler I got was absolutely huge the fried chicken was great, chicken and dumplings tasted like my grandma made them. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and I still had plenty of food to take home. The biscuits were straight fire paired with the butter and jelly, but wonderful all on their own. Mimosas packed quite a punch and the salad was loaded. Our server was fast and attentive juggling multiple tables all while making sure we were set for our meal. With antiques hanging all over the place and a few fun games at the table it’s like your transported back to a much simpler time.

Sadly our group waited an hour to be seated, they claimed to call us over thru loudspeaker – our party of 5 never heard it. When we were seated, it was at a 4 person table with an extra chair on the end needed. It was another hour before we got food and everything was lukewarm, and there was something definitely /not/ Mac-n-cheese in my side.

Overall really not a good experience except for our waitress Patience, she was absolutely awesome. She helped to save the night.

I was on the road and started to get hungry, and I noticed the Cracker Barrel sign on the road and got off because I had eaten in other Cracker Barrels before. I entered the establishment and was seated quickly. I gave my order to the server. The food came quickly. I ordered a chicken sandwich with all the trimming. I got a chicken sandwich with just pickles no mayo, just plain. I server than came with a plate with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. I even had to ask gor napkins. Need to work on serve staff. Maybe more training because I could understand if it was busy, it wasn’t.

The best part of this experience was the shopping. Apparently you can’t be seated without more than half of your party waiting, and then out waitress seemed displeased with our existence. We continued to have a good breakfast and tipped her well and went on our day. Food was good, service was bad.

My partner and I attend Cracker Barrel almost on a weekly basis for about 2 years now and today we were eagerly looking forward to our Saturday late lunch date. We order the same thing about every meal, and NEVER have we EVER been this disappointed. My partner orders chocolate chip pancakes all the time.
How in the world do you mess up chocolate pancakes??? We come to Cracker Barrel because of their delicious pancakes…why would we spend time and money going to a restaurant when Ms.Butterworth’s pancake mix from the grocery store would have satisfied his tastebuds better. His pancakes tasted like “ every other persons meal” and you can see the burnt particles of food on the pancakes. I will share two pictures showing how sad the pancakes were..and I have plenty of photos from others meals to compare how lackluster they were today. I’m so deeply disappointed and so is he.
Not only this…but after our meal we always go take a look around the shop to buy some goodies. Today is one of the first times I can say with confidence we were most certainly profiled for being thieves. Which is SHOCKING…considering we spend our hard earned money every time we attend. At one point there were multiple staff members staring at us. I saw one staff member point at another to put their ear piece on correctly so they can hear and communicate updates about my partner and I.
The only two joyful things about our experience today was the very kind and upbeat cashier Deja. She definitely is worthy of praise and I really hope the manager of this Cracker Barrel takes time to give her some recognition for how wonderful her attitude was!
Alexius our waiter was very quick to fix the mistake with our order and I greatly appreciate that.
I appreciated how cracker barrel is normally able to provide an atmosphere that reminded me of the southern hospitality I so deeply miss … today that was not provided. I never write reviews as I always try my best to be understanding and have an open mind when it comes to food service because I know how unpleasant the experience can be for those in the hospitality business but the way my partner and I were treated today was completely unwarranted considering how often we eat and shop there.

The food was delicious . Whatever grease they use on their meat and hash brown casserole was delicious .

The electricity started to flicker & then the grill stopped working . Luckily we got our food before it went out but they had to turn a few customers around.

As you pull up , they have trash and empty boxes outside of their establishment (but it’s on the backside). Not a good look when your customers see that . I also went to wash my hands before I ate and it looked as if the bathrooms weren’t touched in 2 days . I went about 9 am .. kind of expecting a clean bathroom since it’s the start of the day.

My waitress was nice and honest about the syrup. Angie , was also polite.

Came with high expectations and left disappointed. The gravy that comes with the biscuits was unseasoned and bland. The fried chicken was not crispy however the flavor was there. Biscuits were nice and fluffy. Highlight of the meal was definitely the pancakes. Overall the food came at a fair price and the atmosphere was nice and welcoming. Nothing spectacular but definitely worth trying out.

It was a 15 min wait for a party of 4. I got the grandpas country fried steak. The food was cold when it was served. The hashbrown casserole was good, the eggs were mid, and the country fried steak was disappointing, mostly because how disgusting the gravy was. It had no taste or any seasoning. Because the gravy was bad it made the whole meal a mistake. The Hot coco was delicious. The buttermilk pancake was tasty. The bacon Mac n Cheese was a turn off because how much you can taste the oil. Biscuit beignets was nothing crazy, get it if it’s free using the app. Lastly the customer service was phenomenal which made the experience a little better. 6/10
