The Supervisor and Server went above and beyond to make my Momma’s 88th and Friend’s 73rd Birthday a wonderful and memorable experience for us all. The Supervisor stayed and helped me with decorating and also let my Parents in the back door for their much needed convenience. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Never in the last 2 years of ordering food from here have I ever been so disappointed the fish had absolutely no flavor and the grilled fish had nothing but pepper on it to know I spent this much money on food this poor in quality from a restaurant that was once in my opinion amazing is at the least disheartening I WILL NOT BE RETURNING

Was very disappointed to learn that Southern Fried Chicken is now only served on Saturdays and Sundays! Had to settle for the Crispy fried boneless chicken breast. I reckon I might have to go back to KFC for chicken.

I’ll preface this bad review by saying I’ve been to Cracker Barrel in various areas about a hundred times, and had no issue. Or at least not enough of an issue to remember it later in my life. And this is inconvenient timing due to the ongoing “rebranding” discussions. But we were up visiting some family where I grew up, and my 6-year old daughter decided that we must go to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. My 6-year old loves cracker barrel due to the salt and pepper shakers and toys, and all the different sides we end up getting so she at least eats something. Its one of our big things. I came into the store with 3 gift cards raring to go.

Its me, my gf, my mom, and my 6 year old. We sit down and order as usual. Food comes. And my face was just like O_o …. what is that? Turns out it was an almost/at least 3″ coiled metal shaving sticking out of my loaded casserole. Then my mom found a coarse white dog hair cooked into her scrambled eggs (none of us have dogs). Then my daughter found a couple chunks of eggshells in her single scrambled egg. Then my mom realized that the Country Fried Steak she ordered came out as a Country Fried Chicken. (I will say we’re unsure if she actually said chicken or steak, so we’ll pretend it didnt happen). And not that I’d personally care, but the daughters apples had a huge stem still sticking out of the apple. Thinking back to previous visits, that may even be normal.

We notified the waitress of the big 3, who of course came back with a new loaded casserole and Chicken Friend Steak (mom ended up just finishing her eggs, and eventually, so did my daughter.) Waitress talked to management who came back and comped the kids meal and one of our Country Boy meals. So $20 off, sweet. I get it. Whatever. I wouldn’t make a scene over it (primarily because I didnt end up eating metal). But of course a few others at the table probably wished for management to speak to us directly (they did not), or comp something additional. Then we never saw the waitress again, so we never actually got any refills either, and asked some other waiter for a box for moms leftovers.

The worst part was of course the 6 year old had to experience any of this, and not feel comfortable with her fun little meal at her favorite restaurant. Yes, chewed up plenty of eggshells in my time. She wasnt exactly upset, but now it was the talk of the day in our little circle. Will she want to go back again? She didnt touch much anything else besides the egg, and ended up getting something else somewhere else a little while later.

And then we dumped $110 into crap from the store. lol. I’m sure metal shavings in food isnt a common occurance, but with the few other things, I just had to write about it. Hopefully it’s not common, because my teeth are already bad enough these days and I have a feeling my eyesight will start going soon, too.

This restaurant is very popular, and a madhouse on Saturday, so be prepared for that. We decided to get takeout since it was too crowded and chaotic for us. The gift shop has so many cool and unique items, it is fun to look around while waiting. The food was good overall, though they left out one of my sides. We decided it wasn’t worth the hassle to go back to get it though. Grilled chicken tenders were a bit dry and overcooked, but tasty. The broccoli casserole is wonderful. Breakfast is also good here. We tried the new Butter Pecan French toast bake and it was amazing. Overall a great place, but very crowded at peak times and days.

From a trip to Elk County ended having breakfast at Cracker barrel, at first I thought would be a great experience but turnout to be too congested and overwhelming. Getting to the front desk I was directed to the table where quickly pick by a waiter to get my order. She seems to be in a rush and I quickly pick something from the menu. I have scrambled eggs with a side of pancakes. I didn’t even finish my meal when my bill was handled.
The restaurant was super crowded, floor and kitchen area seems to be dirty maybe because of the amount of people!! Who knows
Food was bland, the presentation was not there. The waitress slam my plate in the table like she was done with the place. I didn’t really enjoy my time there.
At least the bathroom were decent!!
Plenty of parking for sure
I will stay away from these places.
Anyone is welcome to get their own experience.

Last minute decision to eat out and decided on Cracker Barrel. The service was flawless, food was tasty and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The value was also excellent. Portions were plentiful and actually took some food home for my work lunch the next day. Thank you Cracker Barrel for all you do for all of us.

Servers are great food is awesome. We would visit more often if not for the loud acoustics has a echo concert sound feels like must scream to be heard over other patrons as the seating is on top of one another. . Otherwise great. Clean restrooms fun to shop in store.

Very good experience overall.

At first we got steak and shrimp but the steak was overcooked. But the server came quickly to remedy the situation and I got southern fried chicken instead. And it was on them. The waitress Dakota was excellent and provided great service!

Overall impressed with everything!
