I decided to visit Athens Pizza in Des Moines for the first time. I had the ravioli and the food was delicious. The waitress provided great service as well. This establishment is certainly worth the visit, and I would definitely come back again!

We have been coming here for many years. We enjoy dining in but sometimes we take pizza to go. The restaurant is not fancy but their food is spectacular! Whenever we dined in there are at least six other tables filled with customers. There is also a constant flow of customers picking up their pizza to go. The pizza crust is not to thick and not to thin. For us it’s just right. The pizza sauce is flavorful made with savory spices which makes a great foundation for the pizza. Over time we have our own special order. We get 14 inch Athens which has salami, sausage, green peppers, onions, pepperoni, mushrooms and cheese. We get this minus green peppers and mushrooms and sub roasted garlic and jalapenos. That was our order tonight and our grandson ordered his own 10 inch pizza with alfredo sauce, chicken, sausage, beef and extra cheese. I had a piece of this and it was fabulous. Don’t miss your chance to get some world class pizza right here in Des Moines.

Been going here for the last three years since I moved here. This place is our go to pizza spot. So yummy! We love the Spartan pizza, cheese pizza and pepperoni pizza. Their grinders are awesome too. So glad we have this near us love this place! Great for take out! Super friendly service and staff too.

Been coming to this greek and italian inspired restaurant for lunch and dinner for awhile now. The food is delicious, reasonably priced and the people here are always friendly. Chicken parm, cannelloni and moussaka are some faves, italian and greek entrees come with garlic bread and/or greek salad which is a plus. Pizza is fantastic and their grinder subs are great for lunch!

The best gyro and Greek salad ever! My god it was so delicious I inhaled it! The service was quick and they were very friendly! Parking was a bit hard but totally worth it!! I will definitely be returning!

The food is delicious. My children love the ceasar salad and greek salad. The spaghetti is very good. Delicious pizzas and grinders too. Overall everything tastes great. Very friendly staff:)

Been wanting to try this place for a while. I got the gyro dinner which was really good. Came with some rice, a Greek salad a potato wedge and some veggies. I liked it, the gyro was really good. My wife got a pizza. She didn’t like it so much because of the raw chuncks of garlic under the cheese. I took a bite and the garlic was overpowering. Unfortunately can’t give this place a 5 star because of that. We’ll be back to try other items. I wanna try the ribs but they really need to tone it down with the raw garlic on the pizza. The picture attached is garlic from just one piece. 3 stars this visit

Very delicious food here from pasta to pizza. We had the manicotti and vegetarian pizza with greek salad and garlic bread. Generous portions are freshly prepared. The service here is fast and friendly. Everything comes out hot from the oven. Great feel inside with pictures of Greece all around. Great social distancing…take out only begins on Wednesday. Please give them your business and you will be very happy

The worst pizza I’ve ever eaten. I can’t say it’s tasty, but I can’t say it’s not tasty. It’s just tasteless. Yes, yes, this pizza had no taste. Onions and peppers crunch on the teeth. I don’t know why, but they put slices of fresh tomatoes on top of the cheese. Those were cold tomatoes. lol. It’s terrible.
