It’s been years since I’ve been to cracker barrel and this trip changed my opinion of this establishment. The service was top notch, they were quick and responsive to requests. Requests. The food was unexpectedly delicious! I had the country fried turkey with the sage gravy and my sister had the shepherd’s pie. The flavor profile on both was delicious. If you haven’t been there recently, you should go now!

Hands down the best Cracker Barrel experience I’ve had and I’ve been coming here since I was a kid! Came with 2 first-timers and they couldn’t stop talking about it. We came in late on a Saturday night and our server, Kayla, was amazing. Food came out quick, hot, and a very generous amount. We asked for a box to take home some left over biscuits from the table and she brought out a fresh batch of biscuits packed and ready for us to take home – with plenty of butter and jam. We had about 6 hours to go left of our road trip and this was such a nice touch. Same with the coffee, I asked for a to-go cup and she brought me a hot, fresh coffee cup. It truly felt like that home style hospitality.

Our waitress was excellent! My husband and I both got the campfire beef which was fantastic! The beef was super tender. The corn, carrots and potatoes were terrific. The biscuits were to die for! The corn muffins were meh. Dry and tasteless. Our daughter ordered the broccoli cheese chicken which was very good although she said her mashed potatoes were cold. Our son, who always orders a burger, said it was about average for burgers.

Our family attended the West Overton Village DIY event for our family fun day out and then decided to end the day with dinner at this Cracker Barrel location. We have come here one time before and really enjoyed it. I must say the second time around was even better!
The service was top-notch from the time that we entered the building till the time that we left. Whether it be our server, the hostess or the ladies behind the checkouts, they were very courteous.
The food was absolutely amazing and the portions are generous. There is a large fireplace between the kitchen doors and wooden tables and chairs along with vintage and antique decor on the walls. Feels like you’re sitting in your grandma‘s dining room so it definitely gives you that family feel.
My favorite part of the restaurant is the general store. I love how they are always on top of things with holidays and seasons with their displays and sales. This time around, there were Halloween displays which really got me excited for the upcoming season. Lots of great throwback candy and fun sodas to choose from. Toys, clothing, and lots more! Make sure to put Cracker Barrel on your list of places to shop for gifts. Even if you aren’t intending on eating there, the gift shop is seriously cool! Highly recommend!

Stopped for dinner about 9pm. Haven’t been here in awhile. Coffee was good. I got the dinner trio. Chicken / Dumplings – noodles taste like flour. No pleasing flavor in the bowl. Meatloaf. Eh. I love the drizzle topping if there’d have been more than a spec of it. The fried chicken didn’t have any good flavor. Tried to put butter in the grits to give them some taste. Maybe they were bottom of the pot or something because they were watery and flavorless. And the hashbrown casserole which is usually fantastic was dry and crunchy.

First off I love eating at Cracker Barrel. Staff are always very friendly, helpful & happy. It was the same this time but the food wasn’t as good as usual. My friend ordered chicken & dumplings, her dumplings were large stuck- together blobs of dough. It was very unappitizing to look at to say the least. I got the pot roast. Although the meat was good, gravy had no taste & mashed potatoes was consistency of a soup. I did eat most of mine but my friend didn’t eat hers. My husband had steak & shrimp but said his steak was tough & only ate half. They did take the dumpling meal off our bill because she was the second person to complain which was very nice. Broccoli was great. That is why I only gave 3 stars.

No matter what time of day, you will have very good food and excellent service! This is a regular stop because I live and work close. The country store is beautiful and has a large assortment of very nice items! It’s absolutely worth stopping in! They have a large fireplace and usually have fresh wood on the fire on the cool days and nights, making for a very cozy environment! This is definitely one of our favorite spots!
