Why is this place so hit or miss!? Came for brunch Thursday, was actually seated immediately. Waitress took our order. We didn’t wait long to receive our food. The French toast was barely edible. It was dry and hard. Basically like they just grilled the bread and let it sit. The chicken wasn’t bad. I asked for strawberries on my French toast, but didn’t receive it like that. Asked for jelly for the biscuits and received 2 packs and had to ask for more. Waitress was very nice though and I love to shop in their little store.

Food is excellent, real comfort food. They also have a great gift shop attached to the restaurant. I’ve purchased some amazing Christmas decorations there. Here’s the thing I find very odd, my husband and I were asked to actually show the server ID when ordering a glass of wine? How odd is this. This is the only venue we’ve been asked to do that. We are both well passed the point that ID would be necessary to confirm our age. No big deal but seems strange.

I can’t say enough much we love cracker barrel. The atmosphere the staff the shopping after it’s all unique to the whole experience. They have activities available for kids and are quite friendly indeed. My daughter loves to pick out a toy after our meal. The food here is always delicious with satisfying portions. I like the country boy breakfast personally. Another thing that scores big with me is that the coffee in my cup never ran low. Before I could get to the bottom of the cup my server made sure it was filled. All in all it’s the experience you would expect from this great chain. As always I’ll certainly be back.

The food was disappointing. The menu has changed and the selection is very fried and unhealthy. I went for comfort food because the only salad was a side salad. It was terrible. I didn’t eat anything but the green beans. The quality is gone. Anything fried tasted like stale oil.
