My future daughter-in-law took us to her and my son’s weekly breakfast spot, Crack of Dawn Diner in Concord, NC. I could not decide between pancakes or French toast- so I ordered one of each. When I can eat either without syrup, I know I found a good pancake and/or french toast. They were delicious. It was a party of four, extremely great prices and friendly staff.
Unfortunately, I only photographed my own plate.

Good service.
Good food. Chicken and waffles were good. Nice large salads were a joy. Chicken Salad sandwich was good as well. You can’t go wrong with Southern Sweet Tea and good pricing.
Relaxing/ family-friendly atmosphere.
The owner is amazing (I think her name was Anne). I recognized her from Captain Steve’s and now she owns her own establishment. Freaking amazing.
I like to call it a hidden gem of delight. I shall return.

We came by this on our way back home and I wish we lived closer honestly. This is the best hole in the wall diner I’ve ever been to. Food is absolutely amazing, customer service is outstanding. Our waitress was the best I’ve came across in a while. Their lemon pie was to die for. Everyone there was just super friendly and kind and this place is so CLEAN. It’s hard to find a clean restaurant and this place was beyond clean. Will definitely be coming back!

Very happy I found this spot. Was at breakfasttime and had 30-40 minute wait (at least 12 names ahead of us) on a Saturday morning. I don’t mean to compare but I for sure did NOT miss the long wait to be seated over there!! This place was nice and homey. You’ll find that inside is more spacious than it looks from outside. The food is exactly what you’re expecting. There is an old soul in the preparation of their menu items and the quality and portions are perfect for the prices!! The customer service was great and who I can only deduce was the owner was walking around happily talking with her customers. The big platter was generous, the omelets were great size, and the French toasts were awesome! The biscuits and gravy was satisfying but the gravy was plain. Just a little salt really kicked it up a notch but overall, it was savory and a very generous amount! Yea I’m skipping the lines over the weekends and coming here now!

The French toast was real good . And our Server ( Mayana)was excellent. But then we had issues. Food wasn’t hot and we had to send our veggie omelette back to cook again to it not being done the 2nd time.

Crack of Dawn Diner has become our go-to breakfast spot in Concord. It’s never overly crowded, which makes it easy to relax and actually enjoy the morning. They’ve got all the breakfast staples you’d expect, nothing fancy, just good food every time.

The location is great too. It’s a bit tucked away, which we actually prefer. It feels more like a local secret than a busy roadside diner. We love this place and keep coming back because it’s consistent, comfortable, and exactly what a breakfast spot should be.

Amazing experience! Wife and I went here for brunch, she had the cinnamon french toast with eggs, grits and bacon. French toast was warm, soft and delicious. Bacon was cooked perfectly, crispy but not burnt! I had the double smash burger with chips. Burger came out hot, cooked well done but still very juicy and lightly seasoned. The homemade chips were crunchy, hot and went well with their creamy ranch.

They set the expectation that all food comes out as it is done, as they don’t use heat lamps. All of our food arrived quickly, hot and fresh. Wait staff and manager checked on us often and made sure we were taken care of, even providing us to-go drinks.

One of the most authentic and happy brunch experience! Starting with the look and feel, it’s a classic and cute dinner with lovely colors. Loved the food, it was so filling and with a great quantity, top things to try are the breakfast meal, waffles, French toasts and for sure the omelette. The staff is 10/10 as they are super sweet and welcoming and know their menu in and out! We have been talking about this experiences for days!

The food was so delicious that I forgot to take a picture of my plate, BEFORE I dug in to eat. I only have a bit left for a picture. Benjamin, was so helpful and adorable. I had pancakes with hash browns and scrambled eggs. My waitress was fantastic also. Her name was Magaly. A very polite and helpful person.

My husband and I went for breakfast here today. It was delicious! This spot has quickly become a favorite. I had the veggie omelet, which I could tell was made with fresh ingredients. The fruit cup had fruit that was perfect (as is not always the case with fruit cups). My biscuit was also wonderful. The coffee is also really good. Our server was so friendly and efficient. All of the staff are so nice. It feels like you are having a meal at your mom’s house. We will definitely be back soon Highly recommend.
