Fried dishes, seafood & housemade chowder offered in a comfy setting with fireplace & harbor views.

The food was excellent, though a bit on the pricey side. Given the location on Monterey and the Wharf, this was not surprising. The establishment could use a bit of updating, but overall it was a good visit.
One issue worth noting was that the busser appeared not to pay close attention when the waiter explained the drinks we had ordered, which caused some minor confusion. The waiter, however, was professional, attentive, and very pleasant. With a little more attentiveness from the support staff, the experience could be improved further.

Crabby Jim’s is a must-visit on the Old Fisherman’s Wharf. The clam chowder is legendary, and adding crabmeat in a bread bowl with the garlic top makes it extra extravagant. The fish is always fresh and seasoned beautifully.
For those who are not seafood fans, there are plenty of other options like burgers and steak that are equally delicious. The views from the restaurant are stunning, and the service is excellent, making the whole experience even better.
A perfect spot for amazing food, warm hospitality, and unbeatable scenery.

Been coming here for a few years… Food is great as always. noticed the portion size getting smaller and price increasing however that’s at all restaurants. No wait time, server was great, he was very attentive.
We got the tostada salad, clam chowder in bread bowls and 2 kids meals..
once you pay and get your receipt you can go next door to the candy shop and get a 10% discount..

I will make this simple without over writing. Everything on the Pier is a tourist trap, your are here anyway so you should expect it. There is definitely a lot of history here, good view, but the food is just so so, over priced and over rated. The calamari and the chowder were good, but that was about it. That lobster with the grilled shrimp and fettuccine pasta special has little or no lobster in there. It is filled with some kind of chopped up baby shrimp stuffing with the later of melted cheese on top, the whole fish was over fried and dry. I would give this joint 2 stars if it wasn’t for the hint of truffle oil that I tasted in the chowder. Personally I would drive a little bit outside of this area.

Decently sized restaurant ln the middle of the touristic Wharf. So higher priced and smaller portions were expected. All in all the service was very good and the food, too. The Mac‘n‘Cheese burger was yummy, even though not cooked medium. The mussels portion was way too small, tasted very good though. It‘s a good spot to eat and they do have Margarita Happy Hour all day

I came here four times, and the last time was by far the most memorable as I was recently engaged. The waiters are nice, the view is amazing, and the food is impeccable (especially the pasta).
Definitely take your SO here if you’re looking for a good time out in the Monterey area. It’s a very memorable experience.

This place is a total tourist trap! Wicked expensive for food that was decent but nothing to write home about. The kicker? For groups of six or more, they automatically tack on gratuity — fine, whatever — but then they give you separate receipts that also suggest tipping again… based on the entire bill, tax, and the gratuity they already charged! Pretty sure they’re making a killing off that little trick, so heads up before you dine here.

Me and 6 friends from the East Coast were in Monterey for some golf at Pebble (woohoo!) and decided to get some food and visit Cannery Row. I pretty much picked this place due to it being able to seat larger parties and it’s location. We had a great dinner! Service was spot on and the food was really good to great. The chowder in the bread bowl is a meal unto itself and is A+++. WE had various dishes amongst the 7 of us. Nobody was disappointed. The seafood was fresh and tasty and the beef was cooked and seasoned well. We also had desserts. I thought they were pretty good but the rest of the guys really enjoyed them. We had the red velvet cake, canoles, and I can’t remember the third. But it was quite the dessert tray.
One thing I have to comment on; the name does not fit the restaurant. It’s a bit more elegant than Crabby Jims’s. lol. Definitely enjoyed my meal and would recommend and would come back again.

Got given a great widow seat with a beautiful view. The waiter was really nice and even have my partner a rose which was sweet as we were travelling through.
If you go get the chowder in garlic bread, I don’t think I’m ever going to have anything as delicious as that again.
Really cosy and enjoyable atmosphere at the time, probably because we had really good seats.
