When my daughter comes to visit from NYC, we always take her to wherever and whatever restaurants that she’s craving for. She loves Cajun seafood, so I looked for a new one to take her. Last time we went to Cajun Bistro 7 (not again) and Cajun Crack’n (good), this time we tried Crabby Crabby in Newark. This one took the place of a sushi restaurant that we came years ago (pier 98?). It’s in a big shopping center so there are plenty of parkings. The place is bright and clean, one thing we noticed is plenty of TV along the walls with football playing on Sunday night (49’er).
My daughter and my wife wanted the combo #2, but since my daughter also wanted the garlic noodles, the nice pleasant, attentive server with a digital pad recommended combo #3 that comes with garlic noodles, better deal so we took it. For my son, fried catfish and cajun fries, and me, always Gumbo.
For the prices, this restaurant has the best values for what we get over all restaurants we’ve been to.
The service is excellent, pleasant, quick and attentive.
The foods are amazingly tastier over all the others. The house original sauce is really good although medium spicy is too hot for me, but my wife and daughter like it even she’s eating and drinking water at the same time with running nose, LOL.
That $115 combo had plenty of seafoods for 4 but too much for 2.
My son gobbles the catfish and fries in a flash, it’s quite crispy and tasty.
My Gumbo is watery but quite delicious, my wife had a taste and she drinks all the soup
The cajun fries are crispy and excellent, the garlic noodles is flavorful and cooked just right unlike Cajun Bistro 7 soggy one.
The kids need to go to Dublin for an Escape Room so we didn’t have enough time to finish all the foods, we took them home for later.
We’re glad we found this place, unless there’s any other cajun place to try better, we’ll be back.

The server we had was good and the decor was cool. The food was horrible. Its clearly all frozen and not fresh at all. We had a big party so we tried almost everything on the menu. The fried corn on the cob was very old and stale I can’t believe they even served it. The crab was not good at all. Even the super burrito was just ok. The food is very bland. I would never go back there and I would never recommend this place.

This place went through an upgrade! The food’s still great, and the interior is much improved, and now it’s always busy. Prices beat The Boiling Crab, and I honestly like the taste more than Ray’s Crab Shack. The menu now includes Mexican dishes, but seafood is still the star. Can’t beat it! Such a great balance between The Boiling Crab and Ray’s Crab Shack.

Traditional Mexican flavors meet Cajun Cuisine! This Mexican Cajun Seafood Boil spot is a must-try and one of our favorites for seafood boil! Out of all the seafood boil places we’ve tried, this fusion of flavors is one of our favorites. While the spice levels are more mild, the flavors and seasonings are SO GOOD. So good, some of the people we were with like this place better than boiling crab!

What we ordered:
Molcajete Special (3 lbs. of seafood) includes:
* Head-on Shrimp
* Crawfish
* Green Mussels
* Black Mussels
* Clams
* (2) Corn on the Cob
* (3) Red Potatoes
* (4) Sausage pieces
* (2) Aguas Frescas or Sodas
* Sweet Potato Fries drizzled w/ condensed milk – Surprisingly this was really good!

Service is great and the inside has a fun beach shack vibe to it complete with a large shark hanging on the ceiling lol.

Interesting encounter with the Cajun style seafood. We had Happy Hour meals during lunch time. Great value for seafood of your choice, potatoes, sausages, and corn. There is choice of “no spicy”.

The meals came in within a bag and you can grab food with gloves and apron easily. It’s our 1st time here and we requested for plates and utensils.

The restaurant itself is decorated with an ocean theme, not crowded and fast. We enjoyed the experience here.

Our first time here and we are very impressed with its ambiance and great customer service. Came here for taco tuesday, their tripa cooked crispy to perfection, and we also had a bucket with their lemon pepper sauce overall, 10/10 very satisfied

The staff was cool .
The food was hot and seemed freshly prepared.
The food was also oily and HELLLLLLLA salty!
The chicked looked crispy but was soft. We even asked for extra crispy.
Wouldn’t go back unless we/I wanted high blood pressure.
Waisted money here and the %15 tip was only for the staff. Otherwise, wouldn’t have left one. Couldn’t get past the salt.

Had lunch with some business partners. The specials were nicely priced and well portioned. They have a Mexican menu also. Jose the owner came by to greet us.

Service is good. I had combo #2, the seasoning was too salty for us, shrimps definitely not the freshest and are not deveined. Fried calamari and curly fries is decent. Portions are good.

Fantastic spot! The service is super friendly, and the seafood is some of the freshest you’ll find in the Bay Area — a rare gem. On top of that, the owner really knows their EDM, from house and trance to techno. Easily the most EDM-savvy seafood place in the East Bay, and the vibe reflects that. Great food, great energy. I’ll definitely be coming back often!
