Cancún showed out… but The Crab House? That was the headline.
From the moment the plates hit the table, it felt like a celebration. Golden-fried whole fish, crisp and crackling on the outside, tender and flaky inside, served over a banana leaf with rice and grilled vegetables that still had snap and color. The kind of dish that makes you slow down and respect it.
The coconut shrimp were next-level — crunchy, sweet, and perfectly fried — dipped into a bright mango sauce served right inside a fresh coconut. It wasn’t just good… it was vacation good. The kind of flavor that makes you close your eyes for a second.
The salmon was buttery and delicate, resting over creamy potatoes with a citrus note that cut through beautifully. Fresh lime everywhere. Fresh herbs. Nothing heavy, everything intentional.
The paella was rich and fragrant, saffron-kissed with that golden hue that tells you it’s been treated right. We had the most amazing, warm service and absolutely delicious dinner at The Crab House in Cancun tonight. From the minute we walked in the view of the marina, water and sunset was beautiful. Juan and his colleagues were so attentive and welcoming. The food (and drinks) were beyond our expectation. I would highly recommend this authentic, local restaurant to anyone visiting. Thank you to The Crab House – and especially Juan for an excellent evening.

Our second time to the Crab House in Cancun. We had the trio platter with filet, crab claws and 6 large shrimp. The meal preparation was very good and accompanied with a loaded baked potato, with a side order of asparagus. Our meal was great and very large serving. Our table had a great sunset view, which made the evening. We were just surprised to be the only ones dining, so our service was great.

Sitting outside was perfect. We got to see the sun set in Cancun! We ordered the blacked fish and OMG it was the best fish we’ve had EVER! Our sides were great as well. Oysters were fresh and delicious. All in all, best experience, definitely recommend !

The views on this patio are absolutely incredible. That alone to make this restaurant a wonderful place to die. The Roca shrimp was the best I have ever had. We followed up our entrées with crab, stuffed salmon and jumbo stone crab leg, which was out of this world. Great service and wonderful ambience

We had dinner here for our last meal in Cancun at the recommendation of our tour guide. It was all good food and drink with a fantastic view at a very reasonable price, what would have cost over $200 in the USA and everything we ordered was less than $150. I got the combo trio and my partner got lobster tail by the gram. The food was honestly very well done including the steak which is uncommon that I get a good medium rare steak. We also got some mixed drinks that were pretty good.
We made a reservation but it wasn’t necessary. The place was very slow the entire time we were there.

The Crab House in Cancun was such a great experience! The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere and ambiance were perfect. Being right by the water made it even better. It is a bit on the pricey side, but absolutely worth it. I’d definitely go again the next time I’m in Cancun!
