We were seated right away, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The on-tap beer list was great. We ordered clam strips and got them almost immediately. Delicious even from a New Englander’s perspective. The waitress asked if we wanted to place our dinner order right away since the kitchen is very fast, and we said yes.
Despite reading reviews from people complaining about the grouper, we decided to try it anyway. It’s Wisconsin. People here know how to do fish, so we figured maybe those reviewers were just picky out-of-towners. Our all-you-can-eat grouper came out extremely fast as promised, and that’s where the experience dropped significantly.
Whether the fryer was overcrowded, not given enough time to recover between batches, the oil wasn’t hot enough, or the fish simply wasn’t left in long enough, the result was the same: soggy, slightly undercooked grouper with breading that slid right off the fish. It’s a shame, because it’s a good-quality fish with a lot of potential. If asked, we would have been happy to wait a bit longer for it to be fully cooked and crispy. One minute would have made all the difference.
Unfortunately, the next order was the same, and we had hoped the first batch was just bad timing during the supper rush.
At least it wasn’t overly salty or fishy like fish fries we’ve had at other local bars. Still, at this price point, we expect the fundamentals of a basic Wisconsin fish fry to be on point. Next time we are asking for that extra minute and hot oil.

We dined outdoors and were able to enjoy the beautiful weather and scenery. The portions were larger than expected, and the fried dishes were very crispy and delicious. Overall, we were quite satisfied, though one small downside was that the strawberries didn’t seem to be washed thoroughly, as they had a bit of a gritty taste.

The vibes here are great and we hardly waited for food. It was nice to be a little off the typical tourist path and avoiding the crowds. The rueben was amazing!! I will be dreaming of it for awhile. This is a hidden gem for sure.

What a fun place!
At 6pm on a Saturday in winter, we were seated right away.
Our waitress was very nice and helpful, and sold us on their Door County Cherry Margarita. It was very salty, but still nice.
Wife ordered a medium steak and it melted in the mouth, cooked perfectly.
I got the Jambalaya. I could tell it had been cooking all day. It was very nice, but more Cajun spiced than my upper Midwest palate is used to.
Ambience of the place is filled with local artifacts and news clippings. Very fun to see what they have on diaplay!

For a local bar the people were very friendly and invited us to join all their holiday festivities.
From owners to patrons everyone was so fun.

Great little bar & grill. Was very busy when we visited but the wait time wasn’t bad at all. Staff was friendly and the food was very very good.

We had the Friday Night all you can eat fish fry of grouper. After the main serving of 3 generous sized fillets, we had to consider if we were already too full to order another piece. However, it was too good to pass up another piece.

This place is great, busy place. The food is great, people and the atmosphere are great. We ate at the bar, or could have waited on a table. Inside is not too big but there is also outdoor seating. All the people working there make this a must visit, they are all great. The portions of food you get are perfect. We will definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

The staff at Coyote Roadhouse was super friendly and professional. My order was fulfilled quickly and was beyond tasty! The locals were extremely friendly and made me feel right at home as we watched the Brewers take on the Red Sox. It’s about a 10 minute drive from Egg Harbor, so if you’re visiting the area, I highly suggest you stop by for a visit.

My recent visit to Coyote Roadhouse in Egg Harbor, WI, was a bit disappointing. We were waited 1hr and half for a table and it’s definitely overrated and didn’t worth the wait. The food was unfortunately mediocre overall. The fried grouper didn’t taste fresh at all. My steak, ordered medium-rare, came out looking closer to medium-well and was quite tough. Even the baby back ribs, which were touted as a signature dish, weren’t grilled very well.
Overall, the experience didn’t quite meet expectations.
