Great little brisket sandwich while on the road! Nice thick cut, tender pieces of sliced brisket on a warm bun. I opted for dry since I was on tge road, but they still added pickles and a side of bbq. Yes, the sauce is on the thinner side, but it’s good enough to add just the right amount of flavor. I’ve gotta make time to stop in next time I’m passing thru!

BEST TURKEY AROUND!! GOOD GAWD!! Brisket was a little dry but they has said it was the last one for the day and I bet that had an effect. But the turkey, cream corn and Mac n cheese and oh ffuuhhh the cherry cobbler!

Decided to stop here for lunch. The front wall had a Texas Monthly “Top 50 BBQ Joints” paper on the wall, so I had high hopes.
The first thing I noticed was no plates, all meats including sausage are sold by the 1/4 lb, and the price for brisket and sausage were the same. I ordered 1/4 moist brisket and 1/4 spicy sausage. For my side I went with potato salad and a Dr Pepper.
The brisket had decent flavor, but only half of every piece was moist, the side with the fatty edge, the opposite side was drier and less tender. My 1/4 portion was about 4 small slices.
The sausage had good flavor. It was some of the better sausage I’ve had, but the 1/4 lb serving was quite a bit, and appeared to be double the brisket. The potato salad had mustard in it and was chunky. Im not sure if the potatos were boiled or baked, they had a decent denseness to them and weren’t totally mushy.
The BBQ sauce was the liquidy type, almost like soup. It had ok flavor but nothing unique. Overall the meal was decent, but nothing that was overly great. Prices were OK, portions were decent, but other than being the only BBQ place in town, at least that I know of, there was nothing else to being me back.
Employees didnt really say much, other than taking my order, there wasnt really any interaction and I had to ask someone clearing tables to get a drink refill.

OMG !!! When traveling I35 you need to stop in and get you some of this BBQ… the brisket is very tender and has a good flavor the ribs weren’t fall off the bone but are very tender on the bone which I prefer, I would rather the meat stay on the bone but don’t mistake me the ribs are very tender until I put the ribs in my mouth and we had the spicy smoked sausage as well not sure what they use but the flavor was very good with no overpowering flavor they have a wide variety of sides to choose from and another thing to remember all sides and desserts are homemade we got the pineapple cheesecake to go for our dessert so I will definitely add a review about the cheesecake later

First time out here, and I was impressed. Staff is easy going. I was shocked when I received my tab, $10 and some change for a brisket and sausage sandwich, side and drink. Granted it was during their lunch special, but these prices are unheard of when it comes to BBQ. Brisket was smoked perfectly, no dry slices. Spicy sausage was only a compliment to the sandwich. Will be back!

We eat BBQ all over the world. The BBQ is good, not great. They were sold out of everything but brisket and turkey. We usually get pulled pork or brisket, so brisket it was. Brisket was pretty good (a little on the dry side), but the bbq sauce was close to perfect. The sauce was not too sweet or to vinegary. We always get the Coleslaw. It was a large cut Coleslaw and a little dry but not to sweet or vinegary; it was not my favorite, but not bad. This restaurant food is worth the stop, just don’t expect outstanding.

Edit – I had to go back again today to get more! They are for sure going to know who I am by this when I come in again in the future. This place is killing it folks! Went in today, and they had a catfish plate for their special today. Of coarse me being an Okie, fried catfish come on man hand it here! Even a diffrent dessert today (apple cobler). The fish was crispy on the outside very well seasoned and fresh. The hushpuppies were cooked perfectly and seasoned I think with the same seasoning on the cat fish. The cobbler is home made you can tell tastes as good as grandmas to! Come give them a try you wont be disapointed.

We ordered the chicken family meal with two sides, two links of sausage and peach cobbler. The chicken was so dry, the green beans weren’t anything special, the potato salad was decent, the sausage was tasty but the best part of that meal was the peach cobbler. I probably won’t stop here again.
