Great rooftop patio! Excellent view away from the street. Might be able to squeeze in a couple more tables but whatever.

It’s a nice place and our waiter was super friendly. But he was super slow and kept forgetting things (drinks, silverware etc). Food timing was pretty slow too; maybe it’s their thing?

Burgers were kind of plain and the fries were tasty. Pizza wasn’t anything to write home about. I don’t know if I’d be back in that area again but the atmosphere is nice and the patio is great. So I’m sure I could find something else on the menu to try.

I rarely write a bad review…but here I go. We sat down at the bar and waited 15+ minutes for the bartender to even acknowledge us…no apology, nothing, just rude! Acted like we interrupted his whole entire day. Wanted to try the food but we were over it by the time we got our drinks. Left the bar and took our beers to the rooftop…that was the highlight of our visit on 8.30.25 @ 4:30-ish. I get everyone has a bad day…but dannngggg…I wish we would’ve skipped this place while visiting Fargo.

I walked into Cowboy Jack’s fully expecting a record scratch and every head in the saloon to turn. Half thought someone would slide a whiskey down the bar and ask what trouble I was bringin’ to town.
The vibe is pure modern frontier. Loud, lively, boots-on-the-floor energy with enough TVs to make it clear this is where cowboys now settle disputes with fantasy football stats instead of six-shooters. Music’s bumpin’, drinks are flowin’, and the crowd feels like a mix of ranch hands, college kids, and folks who definitely say “one more round” at least twice.
Food hits like trail rations upgraded by civilization. Drinks come strong enough to make you believe you could win a bar fight or at least confidently explain how you almost bought land in Montana.
No tumbleweeds, no duels at high noon, but if the Old West had Wi-Fi, big screens, and cold beer on tap, this would be it. Saddle up.

In town from Maryland. This is a nice place. Check out the roof top seating. Food was ok. Brittany was a great server, very friendly and attentive.

Update after today’s visit: We stopped for lunch today and can say that the food has improved dramatically since the opening last Fall. We ordered multiple meals and all were prepared well and served hot. On the flip side, the fish tacos and chicken wrap seemed light on the meat / protein portion and all of the dishes were on the bland side for our tastes (we like some spice). The spicy breaded cauliflower appetizer was the exception…it had a nice peppery flavor and we all really enjoyed it! We all agreed that the best part of the meal was what came last…the Truffle dessert, as it was delicious! A hard shell of delicious chocolate over chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on the side. You definitely will want to end your meal with this treat!

The newly remodeled facility looked great, the beer tasted good and the $2 Monday Sloppy Jack special was delicious. The good news stopped there though, starting with the popcorn machine being empty and being told that”we ran out of popcorn”. My wife’s steak bites were barely warm at best and my dry-rub chicken wings were small and dried out / overcooked. They definitely still seem to be working through some initial / opening issues on the food side, so you might want to give it a few weeks before giving it a try. Given that the menu prices were a little towards the high side (see picture), I expected more.

Food came out nice and hot. Waitress was very attentive to us as well.

I gave a 4* on the food for a few reasons: kids chicken strips were over cooked, very hard to eat. My friends buffalo wrap was nice and fresh, lettuce was crunchy, chicken was hot. Waitress offered the grilled chicken instead of breaded chicken that was listed on the menu.

The wrap had a really large amount of buffalo sauce on it, it wasn’t really edible.

My brisket sandwich was similar. I didn’t realize it would come with the BBQ sauce slathered in the torn up brisket pieces, that was something just from inexperience of ordering from here.

Friend and I swapped food, I used a napkin to get the excess buffalo sauce off and then added a lot of ranch.

The appetizers and sides were really good, my friends enjoyed their craft beer!

This is a fun downtown bar and grill with a western and Dakota vibe. I love going here for lunch when I’m downtown Fargo. The service was as usual very personable and prompt, friendly too. I had a taco wrap and it more than exceeded my expectations with very fresh ingredients and a soft yummy tortilla. I would have liked better salsa though. Overall, I really like this place and sitting at outside patio tables nice views of the Fargo Depot and Broadway. However one patio umbrella did blow off a table they may want sturdier table umbrellas for Fargo winds.

What a depressing place to go these days. We went on NDSU homecoming weekend. A beautiful Sept. Saturday. 75° Their rooftop wasn’t open yet at 3pm, which we patiently waited for. Once we had a table up on the patio though, we were treated like a nuisance. We played a couple songs on the touch tunes while we were waited for drinks and food, and as soon as they played, the touch tunes was paused and other music played. The food and drinks were just fine, just not the Cowboy Jack’s I used to know. Probably good it’s for sale.

Pretty sure there’s no management on site?

The entire place is genuinely filthy. The menus, tabletop, booths, floor, glasses and flatware were all dirty. Left over wrappers and napkins lay everywhere. Deteriorating St. Patrick’s decorations still hang in mid-MAY.

The food is decidedly bland, and is only suited for intoxicated 19 year olds whose fake ID did the trick.

Our server was kind, though, and together we caught and released a massive bee back to the wild. So that was fun!

Overall, this place only stays open if food inspectors don’t do their job. YIKES. All caps.
