Well, I came and it definitely wasn’t. I had better pizza at Pizza Hut.
It wasn’t bad at all though. We got a few different pizzas, and it was pretty good actually. The all veggie with one the broccoli and all wasn’t good at all. The cheesy one was super good. It was a bit steep in expenses but the outdoor patio was nice and the patrons were very attentive and helpful to us. Orders came after about 35 minutes or so because it was being made fresh.
Would I come back? Probably not, but it’s not bad food. It’s just not that out of this world good either.
I also tried the Lemon Pepper Plus boneless bites. The chicken was juicy and crisp, not soggy at all, but the flavour itself was just okay, nothing special. I wish they offered a wider variety of flavours for the bites since the texture was great.
The restaurant wasn’t crowded when I went, and there was plenty of seating, which made the experience comfortable and relaxed. The service was quick and friendly, and the staff member I spoke to was super nice and gave great suggestions.
Fun fact — Cowbunga actually won “Best Cheese Slice in the World” at the International Pizza Challenge in Las Vegas, which definitely caught my attention and made me want to try it in the first place!
Overall, I really enjoyed my visit. The Margherita pizza was the star of the meal, and I can’t wait to try their other pizza flavours. If I’m ever in Hamilton again, I’ll definitely stop by for another slice.
The 1 Up pizza stood out with its perfect balance of toppings, a crisp yet chewy crust, and a flavorful sauce that tied everything together. The pepperoni and jalapeño combination was a crowd favorite — the spice of the jalapeños paired perfectly with the richness of the cheese and the smoky pepperoni. The cheese pizza, while simple, was excellent in its execution — gooey, well-seasoned, and cooked to golden perfection, proving that sometimes the basics speak the loudest.
We chose to sit on the patio, which offered a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, ideal for a casual group gathering. The outdoor seating was clean, comfortable, and complemented by friendly, attentive service. Inside, Cowabunga+ also features cozy dine-in seating, with staff serving both areas efficiently and with genuine hospitality.
Overall, Cowabunga+ combines great food with a laid-back vibe that makes it a standout pizza spot in Hamilton. Whether you’re dining in, enjoying the patio, or grabbing takeout, the experience is consistently satisfying. With its quality ingredients, flavorful recipes, and warm service, Cowabunga+ earns high marks for anyone seeking top-notch pizza in the city.
The 1up pizza was delicious. The honey really made the flavour profile stand out. It would be even better if there was mushrooms like the North of brooklyn one.
The cowabunga pizza tasted like a chinese crepe… which I was not expecting at all. I regretted getting that pizza.
The truffle waffle fries and garlic knots were decent.
Took a long detour to visit this place but I would not recommend. Pizzas were small given the price you’re paying. There are better options for pizza like North of brooklyn and Badiali.
