Went for dinner with friends this Friday night and what a great experience. We were four ladies catching up, talking and enjoying each other’s company. The food was great and came out as ordered but even better was the service and atmosphere. The staff was attentive, professional and we did not once feel rushed. Have been a Coventry resident for numerous years, Coventry pizza has always been our go to restaurant. I have never once had such an awful experience with a waiter/ waitress at Coventry pizza as I did this evening March 9th, 2024. Waitress Erica was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Upon us ordering she was extremely rude. She looked very annoyed because of our order. We ordered a grinder with vegetables and requested that only the jalapeños are toasted and vegetables be put on last. We have ordered this in the past even over the phone for take out and never had an annoyed staff member also always done correctly. We had a group of 6 and had to wait around 40 minutes for any of our food to be put on the table. When we did notify the staff of the long wait magically we got our salads, appetizers and hot food all at once. The grinder we ordered was absolutely disgusting and extremely unappetizing. Erica had came back to the table and I showed her that the tomatoes that were supposed to be put on after were cooked into the bread. This made the entire grinder fall apart and extremely soggy. Erica tried telling us that the cooks did not toast the tomatoes.. as the tomato’s I showed her were falling apart in my hand due to them being cooked. Erica proceeded to come back to the table we had tried showing and telling her how soggy the bread was and falling apart she did not say a word and just walked away which is extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. If an order is made incorrectly we would have no issue waiting to have it remade. However that was not an option for us since Erica did not care at all and just walked away without saying a word. The only option Erica gave us was to bring fresh tomatoes and onions. Which we only received 4 fresh tomatoes for a Giant grinder. Erica proceeded to ignore us each time she came back only speaking to the other side of the table. On my way out I overheard her bad mouthing us to customers. While bad mouthing us to customers I had asked Erica for her name and she ignored me I had to ask twice. After I did get her name she proceeded to make a rude remark to the customer that I had asked for her name. This IS ALL EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. If Erica or the cooks had made a mistake we had no issue just wanted our food to be made correctly and be edible. I have never had an issue like this happen at this restaurant. Safe to say I will only order take out from Coventry pizza from now on. My family and I will never dine at this restaurant again unless professional, respectful wait staff is hired.

I try to give as much of my business to local establishments as I can and I realize that in this day and age it is tough to please anyone. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review but after 4 try’s I am done. Four separate occasions my only request was to have the pizzas I ordered to be pie cut and add half the amount of cheese, or less cheese than they put on a normal order. Every time it is wrong and just a mess of slop with a puddle of cheese collected in the middle that all falls off as you try to grab a slice. It’s not only poor service, you are also rewarded by pricey low quality food that is just plain trash.

We were worried the food wouldn’t be the same after the new owners took over but happy to report its still delicious. Reason for my 4-star vs a 5-star review is the waitress yesterday was pleasant enough but spent the entire time behind the bar eating and watching TV rather than checking on her multiple customers. We never received drink refills and had to hunt her down for boxes and our check. Will get food to go next time.

I ordered a BLT pizza from this establishment a few days ago. To put it simply it was awful, only 2 pieces out of the whole large pizza was edible, the others were drenched in grease and could not even be lifted from the tray with out it crumbling before my eyes.

Went in with my wife on her suggestion having been here before. The smell hit us as we walked thru the door. Place was dirty and empty. We immediately got up and left. Not at all the same as she remembered.

Not sure what the bad reviews are about. Their pizza is awesome, the sauce is great and flavorful, cheese as well and their sausage was awesome. This will be my new go to for delivery.

Excellent, ordered both specials on the menu…. Swordfish and a Veal chop with a seafood stuffing. 1st visit for us so we sat at the bar, met the owners, the breakfast cook and a few regulars. Everybody was engaging and friendly. Enjoyed both the food a company…we will be back.
