The cove steakhouse & Raw bar, which is inside Harrahs casino, would always recommend to have reservations before going to the place. Has such an awesome view of horse track and Delaware river. Ambience is good. Food usually takes time around 40 mins i suppose, so be prepared for that. Portions are good. Food quality is sooo good it has raw bar for oyster lovers as well. Bit pricey lobster dish is like 60 bucks and all other steak entries are around the same. Chicken dinner is good. Variety of liquor options. Desert options are good especially gelato ice-cream. I took us around 3 hours to finish the dinner thats the only issue i had, i don’t mind but its something u keep in mind.

Was utterly disappointed! A very special birthday dinner ruined. The food took one and a half HOURS to arrive. It was fish. The outside was burnt and the inside still gelatinous. The Mac and cheese was burnt. I have never sent back a meal in my life. The only reason for the one star is due to our MORTIFIED a waiter who was extraordinarily sweet, plying is with comp drinks, appetizer and sides. Granted we would not have ordered those drinks had our meal been served. The manager was apologetic but failed to realize our whole night of plans vanished due to the time and we were still HUNGRY when we left! She still charged us over $100 some for a few drinks and one meal. It was NOT a good steak but the birthday girl was trying to make us feel better, and THAT aid sad. It was HER night and we tried to make the best of it but this place should be closed. I wouldn’t accept a free meal here. The mashed potatoes were good. They ran out of the side we asked for. We watched and waited as others got served and left but still no food. They rolled the fish and stuffed with crabmeat mush that was NOT GOOD and undercooked with slimy fish around it. I wish we knew we would spend all night for nothing instead of them telling us our food was coming soon. Repeatedly. Relentlessly. Go to McDonalds before you go here!

Had to wait, even with reservation time. Service was slow. Started out ok with water and breadsticks. Soup and salad tasted good. Prime rib wasn’t hot. All the vegies in own cast iron skillets were cold. Ran out of mashed potatoes. Guy at next table (seven stars) was loudly complaining he had to wait an hour for a steak. Wanted to speak to the manager. He Couldn’t believe how he was being treated.

I was very disappointed, this was my first time eating here. I ordered the shellfish trio with the lobster and shrimp and scallops, my girlfriend ordered the prime New York strip steak and we also had asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes everything was cold. My girlfriend didn’t want to send her steak back cause it would have been over cooked, it was medium well. I did send mine back and it still wasn’t hot. This was very disappointing to us. The manager didn’t even come to us to apologize. Bad business!

Had dinner at the Cove a few weeks ago. Was unaware they changed the menu in November. What a disappointment. No choices of soups. No wedge salad and only two choices of seafood. Was very disappointed with the new menu. They need to bring back the old menu. Possibly keep one or two items from the new menu but really prefer the original menu. Won’t be going back anytime soon.

This was the second time my wife and I are at The Cove Steak House and it’s the second time we had an issue. Our first visit, a little less than a year ago, we had asked for NY Strip Well Done … it came out Medium Well, they threw it on the grill and brought it back Well Done. All was well. The most recent visit was much worse. We ordered our food; Duck Breast and a NY Strip both Well Done, it took over an hour before the food was presented and the Duck came out Medium Rare (but I personally don’t mind it) and the NY Strip came out Medium Well (my wife will not eat red/pink meat) but even before that was noticed the person (not the waiter) that brought our food up was noticed by my wife putting his fingers on her food … it was said that he was removing the temp stick. Fine. We asked that the steak be cooked Well Done, that took nearly an additional 30 minutes before being presented. Everything was fine. Besides the fact that I was now eating cold medium rare duck, because I was not going to eat without my wife. Our waiter asked if we would like to order a desert, without looking at the menu we asked for cheesecake. He comes out 15 minutes later with cheesecake topped with strawberry sauce … my wife is allergic to strawberrys, I asked that we have a plain cheesecake and the waiter just looked at me. I understand the frustration, when someone says well done and its not cooked well done they ask that it be well done or when someone says cheesecake and the waiter doesnt mention that it has strawberry topping that we are supposed to know that is the way it’s listed on the menu without seeing it … and how rude for the paying customer to request that the things that were done wrong be fixed! The manager, which we’ve been in contact twice before this point, had brought our the plain cheesecake 15 minute later and to our surprise did not offer an apology. We’ve had fingers in our food, uncooked meat and an allergic reaction waiting to happen and not a single attempt to really make it right. We left very unsatisfied and we made it clear to our waiter that we were displeased.

We went there about 3 years ago, food was AWESOME! Went back tonight and it was terrible … ordered my filet medium rare and it was so over done that I could’ve made a baseball out of it. It changed from a steakhouse to an Italian steakhouse …. not sure if the cooks changed but very, very disappointing.

The staff was extremely nice. Food was just ok and took over an hour to arrive. We won’t be back, Outback has been steaks much cheaper.
