I see some critical comments about food and service, but the day we went, it was excellent. We were the first customers of the day. Excellent Buffalo chicken pizza (not too hot) and friendly staff. Can’t beat the price either.

The party in Athens is right here! Everyone is lit watching the game! Basically the only late night place with an open kitchen in Athens Margarita pizza had a rosemary kick, loaded chips were better than I expected (ask for a side of sure cream)! Nashville hot pizza was decent… but not very hot! Get a fresh salad from somewhere else though! Regular bar long island, okay selection of beers! (No ambers, as usual )

The pizza is great. But, I went on a Sunday at 5:30 to pick up a basic cheese pizza 14in and it took 40min+ on a low traffic day and time and no one was at the place basically (8 people max). There should not have been a reason why I had to wait ~40min for this. They are faster on Fridays and Saturdays during peak times which makes no sense. The “bros” broing out in the back while there’s a line of people waiting in the pickup line is inexcusable and at times while patiently waiting in the store, it seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing. One of them even came out of the work area to check in on a basketball game while a full line of customers were waiting for their pizza. Look I know I’m not a hot chick but it shouldn’t take 30 min to even acknowledge that I am standing there. I know this review won’t do much to change their rating but hopefully, it will give management a notice to review their staff

I had pizza from here once and it was great. Tonight was a bust. I ordered one 10 inch pizza that was undercooked. No biggie – it’s super bowl night so I figured they just got overwhelmed and missed the mark. I went to pick up the redo and while I could see effort was put into cooking it more, the dough was still raw in the middle.

Sunday, July 7th, 2019 Tony and I went for a driver in Ohio to Boord Nature Preserve in Cutler, Ohio. So, we stopped in Athens afterwards for lunch. We stopped at Courtside Pizza, ordered a Florence Pizza with Garlic Butter Sauce, Chicken, spinach, tomatoes, onions and 3 cheeses feta, mozzarella and parmesan. Along with a Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich. I had Pepsi and Tony had a PBR. We paid $25 tax, tip and all. Food was very good.

Oven baked sub is not dough with ingredients baked inside. Like i thought it would be. It is just a small sub. Kinda bland and thin. Served with bland chips that are not good.

Food is great when it’s hot, ordering ahead for take out is the way to go though. When the place isn’t crazy busy the pizza by the slice can get a little “old” sitting out. The service is really good. It’s even better when the students are gone for the summer though as it’s a lot more relaxed. Overall a must stop shop.
