It lived up to the hype. The curry chicken is really good and the rice is cooked even. I wish I had more plantains! Next time. Jerk chicken is good. Not too spicy but maybe just a Pinch of too much salt. But I also can’t handle spicy foods, so that’s subjective. Will order again. Everything was still warm even ordering for delivery.

it was good and probably great if you don’t eat a lot of Oxtail . However, I found the oxtail to not have a strong flavor profile or anything. it definitely was cooked to the point of being ways to eat and meat taking off the bone, but the taste didn’t wow me. The plantains were a little over cooked and didn’t have the pop of flavor I like. My wife thought rice and peas were really flavorful, but there could have been more beans mixed .

This place is special for many reasons, small unassuming and amazing food. First, I have to say that ox tails are not available anywhere in Central California where I live. I am here in Inglewood, California, and looking for interesting food options. I discovered this authentic Jamaican restaurant using Google maps . I was happy to discover ox tails and many other home cooked dishes. I say home cooked because that’s how good it is. Ox tails incredible beefy rich fatty fall of the bone impressive. Jerk chicken fire a busrt of intense flavor spicy good, curry goat also rivals the ox tails for incredible flavor so moist and delicious. Sides also great cabbage very tasty, plantains good and everything served with classic rice and beans so good. Dessert sweet potato pudding looks like pie very satisfying also got red velvet cake, yummy and to drink I tried pineapple ginger drink again blown away by the flavor. All this amazing food was new to me, and I’m sad to say that I won’t get to enjoy these flavors until I return to this area. So if you live anywhere near Inglewood you need to go and get this grub. No seating this is grab and go just makes it more special.
All food in my pictures cost 65 $ total shocking value.

I was referred to this place by a coworker while looking for local Jamaican food. I was originally skeptical because they don’t have a formal website and reviews seemed mixed but this place is the epitome of mom and pop. The service was GREAT. I did a phone pick up order and once I got there, the front had a line out the door and I still got my order timely. I ordered the combo plate of brown stew and oxtail (which I enjoyed because most places don’t let you mix entrees for a fair price). Everything was fresh, hot, tender, and full of flavor. I think I’ve found a new lunch place. I ordered a large plate and small sorrel (fresh hibiscus juice) and it was AMAZING. I should’ve got the large drink. The large plate is shareable or saveable. My only regret is not ordering a Jamaican patty.

This review is based off of an Uber eats experience and it’s definitely a solid place to get Jamaican Food, I’d definitely come and try it in person.

I ordered their oxtail, rice/black beans, a side of plantains, potato salad with their Kola Champagne(non alcohol beverage, like a root beer but light). The oxtail was phenomenal, very tender and seasoned perfectly. Overall the meal with the drink was a great match and I was very satisfied with the food even though it was a delivery.

I definitely recommend their to go or delivery and will visit one day.

From a yardi, I would say it is a Ok, not the best curry goat I’ve had, and not the worst either. The curry could have simmer a bit more, it had a little grit and bit too much all spicy. Peas was a little under cook, it was hard. Would go back and try the Oxtail and see how that is.

I had a fantastic dining experience at this Jamaican restaurant in Inglewood. The standout for me was definitely the Oxtail dish; it was exceptionally well-prepared, not overly fatty like you find at some other places. The flavors were on point.

We opted for the convenience of ordering ahead for pick-up, and I was pleasantly surprised that our order was ready in just 20 minutes. It made the whole process incredibly smooth and efficient.

The cabbage side dish was another highlight; it was packed with flavor and complemented the main course beautifully.

The only minor downside was the size of the Festival bread, which, while deliciously sweet, it was small.

Being from NYC I visit family in LA every year. But the past 5yrs I’ve visited it was hard to find good Jamaican food. Well I was recently recommended this place. And let me say that this place was on point. We have a ton of Caribbean and Jamaican restaurants here in NYC and this place would fit right on in. The curry chicken was really good and the service was excellent.

Country Style Jamaican Restaurant—what a vibe! The food? Amazing. The customer service? Top-notch. And the soundtrack? Old-school R&B that turned waiting into a soulful jam session.

The best part? The kitchen staff singing along in their Jamaican dialect. Let me tell you, hearing Marvin Gaye with a reggae twist had me cracking up in the best way. I almost forgot about the epic battle through LA traffic to get there. Almost.

If you’re in the area and need a break from the chaos, this spot is pure gold. Come for the food, stay for the karaoke reggae remix!

I’ve visited Jamaica before and love their food, especially jerk chicken. Been searching for a good Jamaican restaurant. The food here is good. Lots of flavors depending on the dish you get. I tried the jerk chicken, fried chicken and oxtail. Out of the 3, the oxtail was probably better. The fried chicken and jerk chicken was ok. The rice is good. I’m still searching for a good jerk chicken but this place is a good start.
