The soup was the bomb. It was creamy and got a good serving of all the veggies
Chicken fried chicken was perfect holy smokes the tater tots were amazing too.
All in all everything was fresh made, delicious and served hot.
I came back for breakfast and OMG LOOK AT THIS STACK I was done with the bacon and eggs before I could get a picture
A+++
Chicken Fried Steak was Raw, plate it came on was also dirty!! Over medium eggs were runny, salt and pepper shakers and hot sauce bottles were sticky, etc. Photos of food included.
Bathrooms that they share with the TA:
People are polite, so already better than the place across the street. That being said. The female bathroom stalls are clean enough. The men’s bathroom isn’t bad if you can manage not to slip in “fluid” while doing your business. They just put a blower by the door to let it dry instead of actually mopping.
Keep up the good job!! Its appreciated!
The back of the house (kitchen) was so loud we couldn’t enjoy our meal and some down time while watching the TV program they had playing.
As truck drivers it’s nice to be able to sit and enjoy a meal, but the cook just took that away from us by his loudness and was so inconsiderate to the people paying to eat in the restaurant.
I’m all for people enjoying themselves while working but in this case it took away from our experience as customers. Not sure I would choose to come back.
It doesn’t really deserve even that.
The bar is not being tended to and the staff is cutting up, being loud, and laughing in the back. The mashed potatoes look so dried out you could play baseball with them and the beans on the “taco-like bar have been there for at least 3 to 4 hrs; they have turned gray.
I would take photos to show but I don’t want to get yelled at or worse for taking photos of the buffet.
So just spoke to the waitress and voiced my concern. She took my concerns to a manager who had her to return to my table and inform me that she had been trying to get her staff to maintain the bar but tfhey are too lazy to do it and that she will be having a meeting with the GM soon to talk about her employees. Also she is comping my meal.
This wasn’t about getting a free very old meal that quite possibly is going to make me ill. I ate a little bit, while waiting, I thought for fresh food to be brought out. (I kind of feel sick already.) I just wanted myself and other guests to get the quality dinner they deserve for the price.
Ordinarily, Country Pride is my husband and my favorite restaurant to visit on the road, as it is the one sit down meal each week that we allow ourselves as we drive east to west coast and vice versa.
While this is not our usual experience with Country Pride, it is still very alarming that employees are leaving food on the bar that could have the potential to make someone very sick and not changing out the food regularly.
I hope that someone can take the actions to correct these issues soon and that my husband and I can return to this location in the future and be able to report a pleasant experience instead of another failure.
Thank you for taking the time to read this review.
P.S.
I did find the waitress very friendly and apologetic.
