Country pride restaurant has new Hours 8am to 9pm. The new management has cut back their hours so if you stop in, please complain because it’s one of the last few truckstops that has an actual diner that you can sit down and eat. The waitress and Cook are very friendly hospitable and do everything they can to make your time in the restaurant enjoyable, the service and food were very good.

Smothered Turkey Dinner $15.99 consisted of 5 pieces of turkey lunch meat folded in half, covered in brown gravy, frozen tasteless green beans that was served cold, and two rolls fried and burned. This was so nasty I didn’t even eat it. Who charges $15.99 for 5 thin sliced lunch meat. For real people this place is so nasty. Our bill for two was $57.89. As RTO truck drivers we will never stop here again promise. I am so disturbed what people will serve for an outrageous amount and call it good. It wasn’t even excepable.

I got the meatloaf and a “premium” side of chili. It cost 27.79 with a soda. The meatloaf was fine but the chili was watery. The portions were about half the size they should be for the price. The waitress was in crocks and dropped the food off, never returning to check on me. I had to go up to the counter and wait for her to stop talking on the phone to pay my bill. Sad to see this restaurant be this blah. No wonder most of them are closed.

A bit overcooked for medium but was pretty good. Lots of onions, mushrooms, and gravy.

Fried chicken was great. Mashed potatoes were creamy. Had take out since we were just stopping along our road trip. Hate I didn’t take a picture before I devoured the plate.
Read some of the reviews which made me really skeptical but I had great conversation with the host. Friendly and hospitable.

I usually don’t even write reviews but I just had to.. first I come in and ask to see a menu and the lady asked me if is to stay or to go I said I just want to see a menu because I want to see if they even have something I want and she proceeded to rolled her eyes at me and walked away so a customer that was sitting there was actually the one who handed me his menu .. then I make my order for something quick a club sandwich because I’m a trucker and I wanted to be in and out and get rolling but no, it took 45 MINUTES to get a sandwich that literally takes 10 minutes tops to make and to top it off the sandwich was super cold even the bacon was cold cuz you would think that if they take 45 minutes to make the sandwich is because something is being cooked besides the fries right? Wrong.. and didn’t even come with the lettuce and Tomato that’s supposed to come with, but here’s the kicker the assistant manager on duty gave me a whole whopping .87cents off my food yay! smh avoid it if you can specifically if your not trying to wait all day for cold food and bad service

Why can’t you follow the description of your menu?!?? These aren’t the ingredients listed for the southern BBQ burger.
Why are you substituting cheapo cheese sticks in place of the mozzarella planks advertised in photos. The planks are actually good and worth the price, you serve a dollar tree like substitute without informing the customer.
This is ridiculous for the amount you charge, follow your own menu. Also we have mostly only ever gotten rude employees coming here.

I ordered fish&chips it was raw and I was the only customer in the restaurant and the waitress she was sitting after 15 minutes she bring me the menu and my table was dirty and all of the tables are the same. I really don’t recommend it I’d rather to sleep hungry then coming here.

Idk if I came here at the wrong time or if people these days really have absolutely no standard for what decent food should taste like. Horrible food. Got Buffalo chicken with Mac and cheese. First of all, way too much food. Just a waste. Secondly, its drowning in Buffalo sauce. There’s so much of it you cannot taste Mac and cheese or the chicken at all. Total trash. Had to send it back and replace it with some eggs and sossage. How do people eat such garbage and then leave 4 stars?
