13Sept.2022 Been inside of this truck stop a few times and in the Country Pride restaurant a couple years ago for lunch. Google maps keep interrupting my reviews. Food is always delicious here. Was here yesterday w/my best friend from W.VA and we had a later lunch here. I had the 1/2lb Smothered Beef steak with Texas toast mashed potatoes and gravy and steamed broccoli. It was as good as it looked.

Our food is absolutely great as well as the presentation. I forgot to take a picture. My husband super enjoyed the fried fish meal he had mashed potatoes and the mixed veggies. Really impressed with the mashed potatoes as well as the helpings. Nowadays, it’s hard to get what you pay for. Very appreciative that the service was good with Cristen and the cook’s name was Sunny. Everything was fabulous. Everything was fresh, including the lemons. Thank you country pride for being a great establishment. And the waitress was super helpful and kind. She was giving my husband advice on what he might like best due to his picky eating. Man! I wish I had taken a picture.

This is a negative 5 star review Spend 20 dollars on one meal for dried out chicken tenders and what looks like a half order of tater tots and no bread even tho that’s what’s advertised in the pictures displayed in the restaurant. Was told the menu has changed when I asked about it and literally told by the employee if I have a problem with it complain to a manager she don’t care. Country pride has permanently lost my business. Such a shame because this use to be a good place to eat why traveling the country and wanting some down home food. Just look at the portions of food I spent my money on and look for yourself at the advertisement in the store as well with a picture of a nice plate of food with good portions and bread. False advertisement at its finest. The food was 16 but I added a tip as I always do because that’s how a waitress makes a living and I tipped before even getting my food something I guess I shouldn’t have done because I was not treated with respect or decency. With tip I spent over 20 dollars for horrible service and small portions of old dried out food.

The food was okay, but the prices were way too high for what it was. The older waitress that we had was extremely rude and short with us. At times, borderline combative. We had my toddler with us, but we weren’t offered a highchair or booster seat, so we made sure with him sitting on the booth next to me (thankfully, he is a well-behaved boy). The service was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had eating out. We will never be coming back and I wish I’d have looked at these abysmal reviews before going in the first place.

Brandie was a great server. Sad she the only one doing work since her co worker is more worried about socializing with the guest then helping as a team. The food was great a very good steak and eggs along with grits in place of hash browns. I’ve been to several country Prides and this one is definitely the cleanest and best service out of many of them I have been to in the past.

Stopped here on the way to Virginia and the food was delish! The smash burger was juicy and flavorful and the omelet was yummy! A must have and they do have a few slot machines and quite a large convenience store/gift shop. Will be back again ♥️

Lavinia was very attentive and helpful. I absolutely loved the food she suggested. Tables and dishes were clean. Only thing they are missing is entertainment. Table games , TV’s , wifi…. anything
