The restaurant was exceptionally beautiful. They added on a house to the dining area and now there are two floors in addition to thd regular seating area. The food was outstanding, the service was just as good, and talking w/ the owner (Richard) to hear the story of the place was really enlightening. 100% coming back! GO BILLS!

First time dining here. Drawn by the awesome menu which included hard to find items like home made crepes. Though it was a cool, rainy fall morning the place was packed. High spirited, homey atmosphere. We received a hearty greeting and perused the blackboard menu while our booth was readied. Our server, Joyelle, was welcoming and attentive. Our orders arrived quickly. I had the crepe special with fresh blueberries, powdered sugar and whipped cream. My Canadian bacon and home fries came separately. Nice touch. My beloved enjoyed the skillet omelet (sausage, gravy, home fries) with a home made biscuit. Yum. Everything was prepared to perfection.
If we weren’t so full we would have sampled the list of home made pies, but we’ll be back soon.
Highest quality food reasonably priced. Great atmosphere. Great service. Can’t wait to come back. Best American, continental farm style breakfast we’ve found to date. This place is a treasure and well worth the ride. They also serve lunch, dinner and cocktails! Very highly recommended. Skip the city’s media faves and visit the Country Cottage in North Tonawanda/Wheatfield. 5 stars all the way.

We just tried this place for the first time and I am upset we didn’t go there sooner. The food was amazing, prices good, charming, portion sizes are huge and friendly staff. We got omelettes that were delicious and then split an order of French toast and the portions were so big we each took half the omelettes home and only split one French toast and took the other home. Heated it up for lunch the next day and it was still delicious as leftovers. Highly recommend! We will be back 🙂

My two daughters and I went there for breakfast because we heard good things about the place. The service was great, friendly, kind, and tje atmosphere was great. We got seated pretty fast. I ordered becon, egg,and cheese omelet with home fries plus toast. I never seen a omelet so flat as this was. Not very tasteful at all. The home fries were hard and tasted liked they were from the day before and just warmed up. The toast was good.
My one daughter ordered the same omelet as I did and it came out the same as mine. She order hash browns. Those were not very good as well, tasted Stale. Her toast was good.
My other daughter ordered French toast. It looked great. It was long Italian thick bread. however it wasn’t fully done. The middle of both slices were soggy. So she only ate the outside edges. Brought home the rest to cook them at another time. For what we were served it was over priced. We paid 56.00 Plus a tip which she was not penalized for the meal.
We like the atmosphere and friendly service but won’t be back for breakfast.

True to its name, this place does feel like a cottage and I enjoyed the aesthetics they had in place, mostly. The food is just OK and for me that’s not good enough when I’m going out to breakfast. Do not expect much from the breakfast potatoes as they’re essentially boiled and placed on a grill for a few moments before being handed off. Bertha’s potatoes these are not.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a serviceable place, it just doesn’t break the proverbial mold. As long as you know that, I hope you enjoy your breakfast!

Very country, cutsie & homey feel. Adorned by piggies at every turn. Food was great, staff was also very nice & provided prompt service. The food was great and portions were very generous. We will be back!
