Country Burger on 14th Street in Plano has been serving original, delicious hamburgers and perfectly crispy onion rings since 2001, and they’ve never missed a beat. Even with my busy schedule, I still make it a point to come here at least once a month because nothing else compares.
I moved to Sherman two years ago, but I still happily drive over an hour just to enjoy their juicy, flavorful burgers—my son insists on joining me too. The food is always fresh, the portions are generous, and the hardworking team here makes every visit feel like coming home.
Absolutely worth the trip every single time.

Country atmosphere and a very good burger at a fair price. The friendly staff was quick to take my order and deliver me a tasty hamburger and hot thick cut French fries. I ordered the double cheeseburger minus the cheese. As part of their Country Double Cheeseburger meal which includes large fries and a large drink. The burger arrived with all their standard fixings: mustard, lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles. For a drink, I typically get sweet tea but they also had lemonade so I had the a little of both.

I just wanted a snack so I tried to order a kids meal $5.99 seemed reasonable. Apparently it’s for kids under 12 only. They said I could order a Jr burger meal which is the same thing. I was charged $11 and some change. I ordered a simple order and 6 guests that ordered their food after me got their food before me. My burger was upside down and tossed in the bag with no care given by the staff.

I ordered the chicken fried chicken sandwich , this is what was placed confidently on my sandwich old welded lettuce. I called just for courtesy to let them know. I was informed “The lettuce I’m looking at is green.” I’m really busy right now . Never again. It’s just the principle an apology wasn’t even initiated.

Csme here with the GF after a morning around town. First time coming here. And we’re not disappointed. The staff was uber friendly and patient. The food was a decent price and super delicious!!
I got the double burger and it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. The fries, sweet potato fries, and tots were all cooked great too!! My GF ordered the chicken fried steak sandwich and she love it too!!

As much as I’m all for supporting locals and old-school burgers, my experience at Country Burger was a disappointment. I had so many high hopes from all the positive reviews, but it did not go well with my taste buds.
We came on a weekday lunch, and the place had a good amount of customers. The interior is classic and I love all the plants and natural lighting. The menu is right by the register, so you can look and order. The service here was pretty good, but that doesn’t mean the food was to my standard. Burgers were around $10-15 each, depending on which one you’re getting. We got a combo with fries and a drink, and I got extra fries on the side; the total came to around $18.
The food took about 10 mins to come out, and it looks just like your classic old-school style burgers. When I took my first bite, I was so disappointed in how dry and tasteless the patty was. There was no seasoning whatsoever, just plain beef. The burger was flipped backward when they wrapped it so I thought that was confusing. The burger was big and definitely worth the price, but I couldn’t believe how plain this burger was. Not even ketchup can help add some flavor to the burger.
I’m a fan of classic burgers and tried many spots throughout Dallas, but this one was a disappointment. My friend couldn’t even finish his burger because it was just so tasteless. Their fries were crispy and good, but I was expecting more flavors for the burgers. I wouldn’t visit again since I have other favorite classic burger spots in the area and the burgers are a couple of dollars cheaper there as well.

Wow! I’ve worked in Plano for almost 14 years now and had never been to this place!! It was incredible. Got the number 1 and it was absolute fire. Burgers was probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The fries were also delicious.
