Very quaint location. Full of potential. Unfortunately, not the greatest visit this time. Ordered the fried chicken dinner, grouper taco, and fried green tomatoes. The grouper taco was very good. The tomatoes were fantastic. The fried chicken was not very good at all. It was re-heated and served and not heated up very well. Would not recommend. Ordered a beer that was served warm in the bottle. When I asked about it the server said that the cooler was just turned on so nothing was cold. Service was on the slow side as there were only two tables that were occupied. Maybe on another night?

This place is the real deal! Everything we ordered was exceptional, the shrimp and cheesy grits, the cornbread, the fried green tomatoes, the short rib pizza, the shrimp tacos, the truffle fries… everything was made to order, served hot and very flavorful. Our waiter Kyle was super helpful and very friendly and authentic. The decor and atmosphere was amazing and we really enjoyed our visit, and the live music was icing on the cake!

We took the family here to check out a band and get some dinner. Love the relaxed vibe here. The food is delicious. We got the fried chicken, Bento box and some biscuits. Comfort food at its finest . They had a nice assortment of beers available. I went for the Free Dive IPA from local Copper tail brewery . For desert we got the banana bread pudding and mudslide brownie. Sooo good! Staff was super friendly and helpful. The music of course was phenomenal.

Went here for dinner cause heard the fried chicken was killer. It was. Also had the Tampa bay old time jam band was playing a jam and had really good fiddlers and banjo and mando and bass. Coming back the next Thursday they have this grass jam and will be my fried chicken night!

Cottonmouth Soul Food Kitchen is a super cool place to eat and possibly an even cooler music venue! Tucked into the Village of the Arts in Bradenton with beautiful live oaks (I think) in the back yard music area, is nails that Old Florida vibe! The service is always spot on (if it’s a crowded evening, be patient. It’s SO worth it! Kyle, is fantastic and loves his job and you can surely tell!! He’s all business and is fun and efficient!! Be sure to check out the website for their events and menu! You will not be disappointed!!

I had an absolutely incredible time at Cottonmouth this weekend as the presented the Suncoast Guitar Box Festival. This is a truly unique location that combines great food ( try the grouper tacos!), down home friendly service, a great vibe and top notch entertainment to top it all off! It’s becoming one of my favorite travel to destinations on the west coast of my beautiful state. Can’t wait for my next visit!
