We have dined at the Palestine , Tx location numerous times and have never been disappointed. We have always had excellent service. Our favorite server is a young man named Jake. He always puts the customer first and makes sure their order is correct. Such an accommodating young person who has a servant’s heart and it is evident through his work ethic. Looking forward to our next dining experience and will ask for Jake to be our server!

My husband ate the salmon with garlic mashed potatoes AND rice and substituted broccoli for the green beans. All was cooked to perfection. I ate the TexMex salad with avocado ranch dressing. I could only eat half. The place was packed so we knew it would be good before walking in the door. Fast service. Great meal. We need naps after filling up!

I had no problems at all I thought everything was fantastic. My friends ordered salads though and they were brown. The waitress said she saw that but had to serve because “they” told her too. That was wrong. Everything to me was delicious! I had beef tips and they were super flavorful. The squash casserole was delicious and the rolls were fresh and delicious. The service was good and attentive. The atmosphere was family home style very comfortable. I will be back if I am in the area but I won’t be ordering a salad.

This was my first time bringing in my daughter from out of town.
She wanted El Toro, but I convinced her to come to Cotton Patch, mostly because of the delicious rolls!
She loved the aesthetics, both in and outside. Our server Jules was amazing..
We decided on the chicken fried steak, to our sadness discovered they were out of. Manager on duty offered us a free appetizer coupon for her next visit.
I ordered the strawberry pecan salad, and added chicken.. sadly, not only was the chicken super dry, I found myself picking out so much bad lettuce! Ugh!
The sides were good; mac n cheese, but I still have to kindly recommend, let the canned green beans cook a little longer in the ‘bacon soup’ to get rid of the canned flavor.
We’ll hope for a better visit next time she comes back to visit.

Wife and I walked in, this evening, the door greeter/server grabbed 2 menus and walked to a talk, turned and looked at us, my wife and I still standing at the entrance, wife asks the server/greeter if that was for us, he said yes so we sat, he took out drink order, didn’t introduce himself, no greeting nothing and walked off. After about 2 minutes he comes back with our drinks and 4 of the most soggy dinner rolls that have been probably sitting in water and butter that was questionable and left, he came back after a few more minutes and took our order which was the Thursday special chicken tender basket with fries, wife and I ordered the same thing, he stands over us and inputs the order in a tablet and walks off. We waited 20 minutes for out 2 chicken tender baskets to come, and by this time I have began having conversations with other patrons waiting for their food also, and they have been waiting awhile too, so I begin telling the wife we should just leave and go to CHILIS down the road. Our food finally arrives because the wife doesn’t want to be rude so we dig in, the chicken was lukewarm and had absolutely no flavor, the country gravy was watered down and had no flavor and the only thing that was decent was the fries. I finished off my sweet tea and was never provided a refill and did not see our server until we were done, I asked for a to go box for 2 and the check, he then asked if I wanted a to go drink which I declined, paid for our dinner and promptly left. The wife and. I use to go to Cotton patch all the time when it was in the old building across from the high school, but since they have moved to where they are in the plaza the atmosphere is way off and quality is horrible as is the waiting staff. We will unfortunately not be going back. I expressed my opinion to a coworker who said she and her family stopped going there a long time ago due to the same situation. So sad, I really was hoping that what I have been hearing was just gossip, but nope, heck I’d rather eat at Applebees than here again and I can’t stand Applebees. Thanks for living up the everyone’s negative opinions and the best thing they should have done was when the tore the old building down would have been to not rebuild in Palestine TX.

We didn’t want for anything , and her smile and positive attitude were amazing! The food was delicious, atmosphere was good! Just a great experience!
