Food was fresh and delicious. The staff seems to enjoy working there and that impacts the vibe overall. I will go back.

Great spot for any meal! Food and staff were excellent and the small details make it unique and cool! Photos don’t show how good the food looked but clearly show how good it tasted! Chickpea patty, frittata & lobster roll were standouts that we ordered!

We came for happy hour (3-5:30 in bar room only) and enjoyed three offerings—a steak taco, beef sliders with cheese sauce and steamed mussels with white wine, lemon butter and herbs. Each item was tasty. Nine large and tender mussels were super amazing—even the broth was delicious! We skipped on to dessert: creme brulee and New York cheesecake. A yummy finale!

This place is amazing! We went here to celebrate my birthday! It was totally worth the 1hr drive. The food was delicious and they have plenty of gluten-free options if you need them. The staff was so kind and when they heard I was celebrating my birthday they gave me a card and brought out my dessert with a candle on it. They have hand towels in the bathroom to reduce waste, but there are multiple. You use it and drop it in the bin on the floor for them to wash. They had live music and she was awesome. The staff and servers were all extremely kind and welcoming. My husband and I really enjoyed ourselves and we look forward ro coming back!

We have been to cotton hollow kitchen numerous times. Food ways always good, service was slways good, and staff was always friendly and attentive. Always left a generous tip to show appreciation. We decided to stop for dinner on the way home. The service started out being ok, and I must say in fairness, we ate at the bar. The person that I had assumed was tasked to wait on us almost completely ignored us, to the point that another bar attendant c as me over at the end of the meal and asked why my empty plate was still in front of me and my wifes’ had been removed. My wife was not offered another drink and it was approx. 20 mins. Until the second server asked us about deserts. At that point I just asked for the check. We received the check and it sat there another 15 mins. ( with the person that was supposed to be waiting us socializing with the people next to us. I finally said, “will you please take my money”. I left no tip, felt terrible about it. Spoke to the manager/owner. She said please come back we’ll make it up…… I wanted to ask her, will you know who I as m because you have facial recognition cameras. It will be a while before I go back.

Cotton Hollow Kitchen was an absolute pleasure from start to finish! The restaurant is inviting, extremely clean and set up in such a way that it allows for a comfortable, private dining experience ( I loathe those restaurants that squeeze in as many tables as possible so that you are practically sitting on top of each other ). Service was simply stellar. We were greeted immediately, our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. The menu was a delight for one of the members of our party who is gluten-free and was so excited to have an entire menu of GF options for not only lunch, but dessert as well. The tea menu was also a big hit with our party.

The food was delicious, cooked perfectly and since the menu options were so unique and diverse, we had fun trying a bit of each other’s meals as well. Dessert was simply divine. We had the apple cheesecake, the brownie sundae and took a pumpkin whoopie pie home – each one absolutely delicious. Little details such as an adorable brown bag book sale set up on a table at the entrance or that the bathrooms have individual cloth washcloths with which to dry your hands just add to the overall ambiance and uniqueness of this restaurant. It’s an inviting place and they deliver a special experience alongside delicious food and drink. Highly recommend Cotton Hollow Kitchen ( and if it’s the right season and direction – take the ferry over too )!

We held my wife’s surprise birthday party in the back dining area that’s separated by serving stations. They did an outstanding job – great food, attentive wait staff and very clean, including sparkling restrooms. As proof, at least three of our 19 guests remarked that they wanted to come back on their own. I worked with Liz for two months planning the party. It was easy. They offered a special seasonal menu of salmon (pictured), chicken and pasta with either a garden or Caesar salad. All were gluten-free. We brought our own cake instead of opting for their cookie platter and they charged a reasonable $2 plate fee. Although they don’t have a separate walled-off room, we felt it was private enough. Very nice people with great attitudes. I wouldn’t hesitate to host another party there even though they’re 32 miles from our house.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. The place was empty and the service was remarkably slow. The food was expensive and a mixed bag. My wife really liked her veggie burger and tater tots, my smash burger was okay. My 5 onion rings were good. My daughter’s mac and cheese was bad. Just noodles in sauce for $26.

While our initial greeting left a lot to be desired (not warm and welcoming at all/maybe an “off” day), everything that followed was awesome! We sat in the bar which is spacious and modern looking. Lively but not too loud. Our server was great, super friendly and attentive. The food was amazing. I love that they offer Happy Hour daily as I like to try a few different things rather than order a meal. I don’t normally order dessert but I couldn’t resist getting my favorite crème brûlée. We will definitely be back!
