I ordered wings baked in the oven with the bone in and they were the best that I’ve had in a long time. I had delivery. The guy was so nice and polite. The wings were so warm and just the presentation of the food inside the pizza box with the sides of sauce and my eight piece laying out perfect and you know baked is a lot better for you. I’ll be getting them again, next time 14 pieces…. thank you Cottage Inn Dexter Michigan…. you’re the best.

Our Family has been ordering from The Dexter Cottage in for decades. I have notice that quality control does not exist anymore. We try to support local business but I feel they need to do more. We have had issues with every other order. From under cooked pizza to over cooked pizza, missing items and poor quality. The last order was the final straw. The order was over 30 minutes late and then the pizzas and bread stixs were COLD. It seems they may have forgotten to deliver the order. I CAN BELIEVE THEY WOULD SENT THEM and not redo the order.

Two stars not one because it’s been good on other visits. This time was so bad, though. The pizza crust was hard and pebbley on the back and notched weirdly all around. All four pizzas we spent $60+ on were really bad. We ended up feeding it to the chickens. The crust lumps were so hard they hurt our teeth. Barely any sauce, some areas with none at all.

My wife ordered subs for us for dinner last week. I ordered the turkey club. Well when I received mine it wasn’t what I had ordered. It was a turkey and cheese sub. Despite being the wrong sub it had only 2 thin slices of turkey on each half of the sub. If I’m paying almost $12.00 for a sub it had better be done up right and definitely more than two slices of turkey. I know they had an excuse when my wife called to complain about it being the wrong sub plus not being properly made. Their excuse was that they had new employees working and didn’t know. Ok fine I guess I can buy that. But seriously paying almost $12.00 for a sub it needs more than 2 slices of turkey on it. I have noticed a lot of places (restaurants) in the past year now have been charging more and putting out less than before. If you as a business is gonna charge more don’t be skimping on your portions. This is a good way to lose business.

In my opinion this is the best pizza restaurant for take out in Michigan. The pizza is great and they are extremely friendly. This is the only pizza restaurant we have found that will accommodate my daughters food allergies. It means so much to our family to be able to order pizza for our whole family at the Dexter Cottage Inn ! If the manager of the restaurant reads this, thank you so much!

Bumping up to 4 stars. I don’t eat here a ton but the past 3 or 4 times I’ve gotten carry out from this place, they have really improved their estimated finish times.
The pizza taste has also improved over time. Great work Cottage Inn Dexter.

New management must not be very good.
Every time I order carry out from this place and they give me a time that the pies will be ready, they consistently take 15 min to half an hour longer than they estimate.
One of the last times I was in here I paid and then waited for 20-30 min in the seating area only to ask where my pizza was and it had been sitting on their carry out shelf for god knows how long and they didn’t even call out my name! There were numerous people waiting in the seating area so there is just no excuse for that. If you see people waiting, check to see if it’s their order dummies.
Losing patience with this place.

I do like their Inn Sticks but lately they have been drenching them in oil which makes them nasty to eat after like 5 minutes. Super greasy.
Staff is usually friendly and quick. Place never seems that busy either which is nice.

Had multiple sub sandwiches which we ordered online. When we asked about our order, the person behind counter said it was ready. So we got our order and drove 7 miles out of town only to find we were missing one sandwich, so I had to drive back and get it. Sandwich makers should communicate better.
