If you’re craving a toasted sub done right, this place absolutely delivers. Every visit feels like a treat—not just because of the food, but because of the atmosphere and the people behind the counter.
My personal favorite is the White Widow—perfectly toasted, full of flavor, and consistently delicious every single time. My 8-year-old is obsessed with the Dank sub, which says a lot because it’s not always easy finding something picky kids genuinely love!
What I appreciate most is that there really is a style for everyone here—whether you want something bold and packed with flavor or something more classic and simple, the menu makes it easy to find your go-to sandwich.
On top of that, the staff is always professional, polite, and incredibly attentive. They treat customers with respect, get orders right, and make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
Highly recommend—great food, great service, and great vibes all around!
Inside, I was greeted by the kindest potheads I’ve ever met. And I’ve met a few. These folks were rocking baggy clothes, beanies, and the kind of mellow energy that makes you feel like you accidentally walked into a Bob Marley family reunion. They offered help like it was their job. Which, technically, it was. But they did it with the enthusiasm of someone who just discovered a new strain and wants to tell you all about it.
I ordered the spicy club sandwich—something called “Kali Mist,” which sounds like a Pokémon move but tastes like a spiritual awakening. Layers of meat, spice, and toasted bread that made me question every sandwich I’ve ever eaten sober. It’s clearly the pothead’s Excalibur. If I had eaten this in college, I would’ve majored in Sandwichology.
To wash it down, I grabbed the Strawberry Dragonfly drink. I don’t know what’s in it. I don’t care. It tasted like strawberry heaven filtered through a cloud of good decisions. I briefly considered asking if they sold it by the gallon.
Now, the parking lot? Slightly sketch. The kind of place where you double-check your locks and make eye contact with no one. But it was daytime, so I felt safe-ish. Like, “I’ll eat fast and pretend I’m not judging the guy doing yoga next to a dumpster” safe.
Final Verdict:
Cheba Hut is a psychedelic sandwich dojo where blunts hang from ceilings, potheads are your spirit guides, and sandwiches slap harder than your auntie’s chancla. 10/10 would get toasted again.
But what really sets Cheba Hut apart? The cannabis-themed sandwich names! It’s such a fun, laid-back vibe that totally adds to the experience. I love the creativity and personality they’ve baked into the menu — it makes ordering way more entertaining.
Every visit is a great time, and every sub hits the spot. If you haven’t tried Cheba Hut yet, you’re seriously missing out.
Please ! Be more original to your customers who have had a bad experience! These replies on paying customers who are communicating with you a bad experience are beyond disingenuous and a slap in the face to people visiting your location! They fix nothing, get it together.
I won’t be going to your location just because of that.
Do better
Getting in is a pain in the rear, you have to come in while driving east on olive or south on 59th
Overall I love this place just wish they would wipe some surfaces down. Tables were sticky. Glad I ordered to go.
