This is not a fancy restaurant, but it is a solid good ole American diner. I had the waffle breakfast and my son had the potatoes O’Brien with eggs and toast. Everything was done just right, and just as you’d expect. Our server was friendly and the service was good. Coffee flowed freely, and you could tell that a lot of the folks in there were regulars. Would recommend; would go back.

Best place in Madison for breakfast food, amazing atmosphere. Staff makes you feel welcomed, like you’re at home again. For someone finding their new home in Madison, this restaurant was an amazing find and will always hold a place near and dear to my heart. Not to mention how they’ve managed to keep their prices affordable through the pandemic, unlike Dairyland or Parkway restaurant. If I’m craving a late night breakfast, I will still hold my appetite til the next day just to munch on their mouth watering gravy my only complaint is them closing so early and that’s fine. They do more work between 6am to 2 pm then most restaurants do in twice that!!!

We are done going here. After being customers since they opened, we were just treated like an inconvenience. How sad. We took a break from them a couple years back when my husband went back because our order was wrong and the owner told him “maybe you should check your order before you leave”. Really?? How rude. Now about every other time we order, something is wrong. A few weeks ago we had an order that we did not order, I called and he said he would credit my card back, never happened. Once again today called because the order was wrong again. Treated like an inconvenience. We will go down the road from now on where they appreciate our business.

It’s busy for a reason. Quick friendly service, reasonable prices, and well prepared favorite breakfast combinations. The coffee’s not bad and the refills are prompt. Reminds me of several favorite spots in Northern WI!

Cute diner with Northwoods vibe. Quick and friendly service. Reasonable prices for large portions. We got the Cottage Platter and Build Your Own Omelette. Will come again.
