Once a year I try to hit New Englan for my favorite dish Fried Clams with Bellies. Unfortunately, Costello’s did not meet my simple requirements. The clams seemed to be under-battered and not fried long enough. However the Warm Lobster Roll was fantastic, as was the cole slaw side. The sweet potato fries not great, so the best that I can give is 4 out of 5 stars for food. The service was good you have to order before entry and pick up the food on your own. The location at the Marina was great also.

The locations waterfront setting adds to its charm, providing a scenic backdrop as you dine. The outdoor seating area is particularly enjoyable on a sunny day, with views of the water enhancing the overall experience. It’s a no-frills establishment, but the simplicity adds to its appeal, making it a comfortable and inviting place to relax.

Stopped by for some waterfront views and dining. You order at a window and then pick up at a separate window. Fried clam bellies were fresh and pretty sweet. My favorite dish by far was probably the steamers. Quality and quantity was very good for the price. We got the fish tacos too, which was ok, but wouldn’t go out of my way to get again. Seating is first come first served. Orders took a while to come out. Bathrooms are available on the premise but they only have two one toilet bathrooms. Overall, good place to come on a nice summer day and settle down with a heaping pile of steamers.

Dissatisfied with the food. Ordered the CCC dinner meal. I choose clam strips, fried scallops, and coconut shrimp. Meal came with French fries & coleslaw. For $26 not worth it!! Waited an hour and 15 minutes for my food. Food was served to me cold & did not taste good. Was not going to wait to have another Oder made as i waited long enough. Other than that, the atmosphere was gorgeous & staff was friendly.

Nice place for lobster & some clams, on the water with only outdoor seating. They don’t serve any alcohol but I seen people brought there own wine. My wife had the the lobster roll & it was so good she ordered another one to go. Also had the fried belly clams, clam strips & fried calamari, everything was good. French fries are excellent.

No where on the website does it say that it is BYOB and that you order at a takeout counter and then walk to the deck to find a table to eat it at. It is dirty, tables look like they hadn’t been washed all day. It certainly wasn’t cheap – and we waited over one hour for food that was in no way worth the money or the wait. $24 for lobster on a hamburger roll, stuffed clams that were burned, hard as a rock and inedible and steamers that were ice cold, stuck to their shells and served with no broth or butter. A huge disappointment in an otherwise wonderful vacation town.

Was recommended to try here by a gentleman who has lived in the area for 54 years, and it did not disappoint! Drive down carefully – the roads are narrow – then free parking right at the water. Line was not bad. Prices were very reasonable and all food FRESH. Portions were great too.
There’s a bit of a wait but that’s to be expected, it’s busy but fast-paced during rushes, so enjoy the seating and the boats going to and fro. Listen for your number to be called! Staff are helpful. We had a substitution (onion rings for chips, went back to window) and when pointed out they corrected right away.
We had the clam strips, popcorn shrimp, and the hot lobster roll – all delicious. Fries, onion rings, soda, iced tea. Would go again! (Only strips and shrimp in pic.)

Very nice place to grab lunch or dinner – as long as the weather is nice. Seating is on a patio right out back on the water. Pricing is very fair for location and quality. I would give 5 stars but I reserve that for only the best. My first experience here was decent, food came quick, it’s BYOB. You place your order and wait for your number to be called. Seat yourself. Nice alternative to neighboring Abbott’s.

Oysters, lobster roll and fried scallops are all absolutely incredible. All outdoor dining and byob which is great for social distancing. If you are visiting and looking for casual dining this is the perfect spot and right on the water! Summer isn’t summer without a visit to Costello’s!
