It was a nice break from my office I had spoken to the owner wife and loved my service and her telling me the history of this small stand. I am from PABIC but loved my time getting to know the business more and the food was pretty good for the price! I definitely would recommend just getting the hotdog with all of the works and the double cheese burger! 10/10 loved my time and hope to come back when convenient.

Visited 12/23/25. I stopped by Costa’s Snack Bar (est. 1960) in #PerthAmboy, #NJ to try their popular classic chili dog (chili, mustard, onions) plus a “kitchen sink” dog which included EVERYTHING: ketchup, mustard, diced white onions, relish, stewed onions, sauerkraut, chili, and cheese sauce. Phew! Believe it or not, I was still hungry so I topped it all off with a cheeseburger! Snappy little grilled skinless Sabrettes and homemade chili. #INeverSausageaHotDog

I grew up going to the burger stand and the old owner was always a doll. To get out of school or a dentist appointment just to walk over to the burger stand and pick up one of the most best tasting burgers that fast food would literally kill themselves trying to replicate. His wife and accomplice are just as good and they’re ongoing commitment to keeping the legacy alive is potent in burgers they serve. I had speculation that quality would go down but they’re just as delicious. For everyone reading these reviews, let me just say this. As unorthodox as this burger stand may seem, the love has always been there, you can feel it when speaking to them and you can taste it in the food. I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!!!
My only issue is that I just wish the city would add a bench so I can sit and eat is all.

Best place for a burger on earth. Curb the negative comments I’ll tell you truthfully if ya get there early morning get a good conversation with the guys your foods gonna be amazing. Don’t ever hassle a price just pay the men what they deserve. The food is incredible and they are saints for still being open over 20 years later since I stepped foot next to that building. Much love guys thank you for showing my wife some good jersey food.

Work brought me from Texas to Perth Amboy. To me this was very unique and very delicious. I ordered a hot dog and dbl cheeseburger. The cook gave me my hotdog while the burger was on the grill, we dont have these in Texas, so I left very impressed. Prices are excellent.

If you like White Rose or White Diamond burgers, these are right in line with those. Much better than McDonald’s and Burger King. I was going to this place for better than 40 years. Same family owned business and the quality and taste hasnt changed one bit..
