Another fantastic visit! The buffet had a great flow, with tasty options like the Aromatic Pork and Corn Soup standing out for their fresh flavours and value. Incredible restaurant with a great selection of food from around the world- so many rich, flavourful dishes to choose from. My personal favourite is all the seafood! I recently visited COSMO All You Can Eat World Buffet Restaurant at OX1 3AD, and I’d describe it as a solid, varied buffet experience that’s very close to great — but not quite consistent enough to earn full marks yet.
One of Cosmo’s standout features is its incredible breadth of options. You can build an entire meal from all corners of the globe — from Chinese classics like chow mein and aromatic duck to Indian curries, sushi, Italian pizzas and a carvery section that offers roast meats and Yorkshire puddings. The live cook-to-order stations and abundant desserts (especially the fun chocolate fountain) are definite highlights that give the place a lively, almost celebratory feel.
That said, the quality of what’s on offer can vary quite a bit depending on when you visit. On some evenings, everything feels freshly turned over and hot — the seafood prawns and grilled meats especially hit the spot — but on busier nights, certain sections go long stretches without being replenished, and some dishes can end up a bit cold or lacklustre. I found that timing my visit earlier in the evening helped avoid that issue.
Service generally leans friendly and helpful, though when the restaurant is bustling (which happens often), drink orders and buffet restocks can lag behind the pace of diners. Despite this, the staff do their best to keep things moving and tables cleared.
I’ve eaten here both before and after the lengthy closures during the 2020 COVID lockdowns. It’s clear that Cosmo has worked hard to rebuild, and it’s almost as good as it used to be at its prime — the variety and fun atmosphere are definitely back. But whereas pre-2020 visits often delivered a more uniformly satisfying meal, recent visits show that consistency still has room for improvement.
In summary: great selection and value for a buffet, often really good food, but variable quality depending on day/time/shift — a respectable 3 to 4 stars.

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They made us feel comfortable and offered assistance whenever we needed it. The food was generally very good, and my partner and I ate as much as we could because we really enjoyed it. The environment was nice and clean. Overall, I had a lovely time.

Just visited again for a birthday celebration and wow, what an improvement! The food was so much better than last year, with loads of fresh options to choose from, and thedessert machines were all working perfectly this time. Was planning to visit Cosmo for ages, lots of positive reviews from friends who been there. Went there with wife and 4 kids- expected busy and it was. Not downgrating because of busy , but real minus is for service when it busy and I beleive Cosmo busy all the time. No space between tables, people walking with plates , catching glasses and plates with their coats on other tables. People walking chaotecally , front and back , no direction from where buffet starts. Food is cold, but I was expected this from the buffet service. Lots of food on the floor and floor is sticky. Almost all chineese menu taste the same , either you select pork belly or calamari, or chicken satay or noodles, all the same taste. Looks like Covid symptoms. Another enoying thing, very loud there, mainly from the staff, who shouting on the entrance and cashier. Next minus, tables wobbles. Sushi very dried, rice not sticky as it should be . I am sure there will be lots of people who will defence Cosmo, but for me – £ 140 for – 1 latte, 1 pint beer, 4 bottomless fizzy drinks, 6 plates of cold food and dessert where ice cream ,not even icecream , but frozen ice . So,so experiance.

I hit up the buffet again, and it was absolutely spot on! The food selection was brilliant, everything tasted fresh, and the layout made it a breeze to navigate. Plus, the atmosphere and service were top-notch, making for a really enjoyable experience. I’m always on the lookout for new dishes, so I’d love to see some 煎饼果子 added to the menu. Overall, I can’t recommend this place enough!
