Awesome staff!! They explained the RI entrees(since I’m not from here) & made sure we had extra plates, silverware to take back to the hotel. After being stuck in the hotel for 4 days from the blizzard, it was nice to eat hot, fresh food. Pepperoni pizza, Weiner & the steak grinder were delicious! Plus they had a Rush pinball machine!!!

Ordered two large steak and cheese’s. The first one was steak and cheese plain and when I tell you it was unbelievable dry the cheese was melted to the bread instead of melted into the streak, the steak also tasted pre-cooked and refrigerated until reheated to order! The second steak and cheese was order with mushrooms onions and peppers, well this sandwich was made toasted the bread to melt the cheese to the bread yet again then it completely drenched in worcheshire sauce it was so over whelming and now salty that is all you could taste as well made the bread completely soggy, (picture of soggy bread!) on top of us trying to add more cheese these sandwiches we could not enjoy! Now I know they had amazing steak and cheese sandwiches which is why I went there on my way home at 10pm to Coventry! Well this morning (my husband had thrown the sandwiches in the trash which I did not know he did) I contacted there the manager was busy until the woman who answered the phone asked what the problem was I told her an issue with my food from the night before she advised me to hole, an older sounding gentleman got on the phone did not allow me to speak he only told me “to bring the food back and he would refund or remake the food”. This is when I found out my husband had thrown it all away so it was not just hanging around well I was at work! Regardless I could not even speak with the man regarding the problem he never asked a question he clearly stated to bring the food back well at the point I am not only our $49 for two God damn terrible sandwiches even if I had to return them I would of then been out of gas to drive back to Warwick from Coventry for the second time! I will not ever do this again I guess food changes over time but this is terrible the prices are high and the food was not good! Maybe they need to go back to the old recipe if they want to charge $24 for a steak and cheese grinder because this recipe is not it and the customer service is not great either!! This is what happens when you don’t go to a certain establishment for a year? The change is awful!

Cosmic is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always great, and the staff are wonderful people. I live 15 minutes away, but choose to pick my food up, rather than have it delivered, just because it’s such a pleasure to go in there and interact with the staff. I highly recommend Cosmic to anyone who wants good food and to experience a welcoming environment.

Cosmic has been awesome for years but something has changed lately and they are objectively worse. If you order a BLT, be sure to tell them that they actually have to cook the bacon. We got two BLTs and on each one, about half of the bacon was not sufficiently cooked (see image). The workers are always friendly. I don’t know what is different, but clearly something is.

Fifth stop for the day. Second of the final three on today’s RI FOOD FIGHTS Lord of the Pies run. Six pizzas total. By this point you start questioning your life choices, but then you walk into a place like Cosmic Pizza Steak & Weiners and remember why you’re doing this.
Cosmic Pizza was home base for Pilgrim High School kids back in the ’80s. The place we’d hit after basketball and hockey games, when pizza was fuel and community was guaranteed. Walking in tonight felt like stepping into a time machine, except everything’s been upgraded.
The location moved down the street from the original spot. Cleaner now. More modern. Brighter. The kind of place that kept what mattered and improved everything else. And the pizza? Better than it was back then.
The place was packed. Standing room only with about fifteen people waiting for orders despite the ovens running full tilt. Tables full, to go orders flying out the door. A neighborhood spot that’s clearly still doing what it’s always done, just evolved.
Rob, the manager, runs the room like he’s conducting an orchestra in the middle of a rush. The place is buzzing, hectic, absolutely humming with activity, but he’s got it all under control. And somehow, in the middle of all that, he still takes the time to talk to you. Makes it clear how grateful he is that you showed up. That’s not just good service. That’s genuine hospitality under pressure.
The pizza justifies the crowd. The crust is what stands out first. Super light, airy, crispy in a way that feels almost delicate but still has structure. Not thin crust territory but not thick either. Just right for what they’re doing.
The sauce brings herbs forward. Savory, not sweet. You can taste the seasoning, taste the intent behind it. The cheese is quality stuff, melts right, browns in the spots that matter. Whatever toppings you order are going to be good because they’re clearly not cutting corners on ingredients.
The operation itself is something to watch. Tons of people working, all moving fast, all under pressure. But every single one of them smiles. Acknowledges you. Makes it clear they’re grateful you showed up. That’s culture, not accident. That comes from the top down through Rob to everyone on the line.
Nostalgia can mess with your judgment. Makes you think things were better than they were. But Cosmic proves you can go back and find something actually improved. The energy is the same. The community feel is the same. Everything else got better. The space, the food, the friendliness of everyone involved.
Fifth pizza of the day, stomach protesting, and this one lands differently because of what it represents. A place that’s been feeding a community for decades and somehow got better instead of coasting on history.
Worth the wait. Worth the crowd. Worth coming back when you’re not trying to eat six pizzas in one day. And we will. ❤️

These guys are absolute ROCK STARS!! My order was scheduled according to online by 4:45 it was not. But considering the circumstances and the fact I know the field, I didn’t care about the wait! Friendly despite the craziness, apologetic for the wait, and open and making sure that our plow drivers had a place to go and eat during the storm these guys and the rest of the staff deserve so much kudos!! Thank you for your service through the storm!!

Have been eating here for years but lately have been disappointed. My husband got a steak and cheese-it was dry, too much bread and not enough steak for the $21.50 it cost. We also got some Hot Weiners, they were pretty bland. For over $40 (plus tip) for 1 sandwich and 3 weinies we expected better. Sandwich was NOT worth it. Time for us to move on.

Ordered from here through Uber Eats this afternoon. Ordered 8 wieners and a large fry. All the weiners were packed into the same bag on top of each other. The ones in the picture were actually on top inside the bag. The bottom 3 were pretty squished. I guess that’s no different than most other places, but they could still do it better than the rest. Taste wise they were fine. Not as good as NYS, but the price is definitely better. The fries had no salt on them, which would be fine if they included salt packets and maybe ketchup. I checked the box to include disposables and left a note in the app asking for both napkins and vinegar packets. I did not get either. I wasn’t aware the fries would not come with salt, or I would have asked for that as well. I wouldn’t have gotten any apparently, but I would have asked lol Now you know at least.
