Cortland’s Garage is a neighborhood sports bar serving high-end bar food with classic cocktails and wide variety of draft and bottle beer. We have 18 TV’s for all sporting events. We have large outdoor patio along with the Arlington Alfresco to cater over 200 patrons outside for the warm months. We offer private parties for any occasion as well.

We went to see The Home Alone Christmas pop up. We came on a day where the kitchen was partially shut down. Menu was limited, but still good.

Came for the Home Alone pop up the decor was really cool! Staff was really nice and the atmosphere was awesome plus the Chicago Bears was playing so was an added bonus cause they won! However unfortunately the kitchen was limited so we didn’t have any food just a couple of drinks. We will be coming back to try the Mac and cheese

The Home Alone Pop Up was very cute! I enjoyed all the decor. It was nice that they had specific menus to the pop up as well. Unfortunately, my friend and I did not get the toasted marshmallow that was advertised with our drink, but I understand that we went the last weekend so I assumed they were out.
I really wanted to like this place, but the service was overall just terrible. As someone previously in the service industry, I always want to give the benefit of the doubt, but it was really not great. The hostess barely acknowledged us. We then were seated and our server just seemed she didn’t want to be bothered and didn’t come around too often. The real kicker was that we came for the Bears game around 3:30 to claim a spot and to grab a bite before. We were never notified of a 90 minute seating limit or that there were any reservations the entire night. At 6:30 (30 mins before the game), a different hostess comes up to us saying there is a 90 minute limit and that there’s a reservation at this table at 7. If we had known this, we would have sat at the bar from the beginning. The only option we were given was to either leave or stand behind the bar which was already packed. We ended up just leaving and going to Peggy’s across the street.
The food is very good. The sweet potato fries were great and the drinks were great, but unfortunately I think the service would have me not come back.

Came here twice, once alone, another with friends.
Food here was great, I got a burger. The bartender was really friendly, observant, and on-top of his game. The inside is very clean, very inviting, and a relaxing place to chill. I did some work here for a couple of hours and loved it.
Came back in the summer with friends and got their cocktail pouches. It was perfect for what we needed on that summer day. It was a bit more packed so our server took a bit longer to get to us, but she was always respectful and we were understanding. The outdoor section was very nice!

Came here with the family on a weekday after work and enjoyed dinner outside. It wasn’t too crowded which was alright with me. We had appetizers and a main dinner items. The boys enjoyed the cheess curds and Pretzel sticks. I enjoyed the Buffalo chicken rolls. From the burgers to the sandwiches, everything tasted great. Will be back

almost perfect! drinks, atmosphere, and staff were all wonderful. food was only okay, though. since we were only really there to have a drink and watch the game it wasn’t a big deal. would recommend if you only want like appetizers or a small amount of food to go with your drinks while you watch the game!

I’ve visited this bar a few times, and unfortunately the service has consistently been underwhelming. We decided to give it another chance for the Home Alone experience, especially since the holiday décor was very cute—but this visit ended up being the most disappointing.
We came last Sunday around 6:30 p.m., and the bar was not busy. Our server was neither friendly nor attentive. She stopped by once to ask if we wanted drinks but never brought water or asked if we wanted any. When she brought our drinks, she rushed us to place our food order, and after that, we hardly saw her again. She never checked in to see how our meal was and only returned to drop off the check.
Overall, it just wasn’t a great experience, yet again. I’m not sure if we’ve been unlucky, but the service continues to miss the mark. The food is mediocre as well. There are definitely better options in downtown—though they aren’t bars—so it’s disappointing that the experience here doesn’t improve

Had their steak nachos. Probably some of the best nachos I’ve ever had. The chips were warm and extra crispy. Cheese was a scratch made blend. Steak was tasty albeit a little too fatty. Will come back for one of their burgers which sounded amazing.

Food and service was great. We were able to enjoy the outdoor seating and had a great time. Food was tasty and the portions were huge! Server was kind and attentive to our table. The kitchen got our food out in a reasonable time frame. We had Buffalo chicken egg rolls which were absolutely delicious! Burger and nachos were also very good. Beer was ice cold! We had a great experience and will absolutely be back to try more items off of the menu. Maybe next time we will take a gander inside. Thanks for the exceptional service!
