I ordered the combination plate, salad was included. Salad was great, fresh and crispy. Cheese sticks good, not greasy. Serving size is large. The first picture is how the plate came, the second was the left over. The tiramisu along with the different types of pasta lacked flavor. The Italian sausage was the best part of the dish. My sister ordered the Alfredo pasta, I tasted it and we both agreed that the sauce had no flavor. Staff was very friendly.

We had a very enjoyable experience at Cortino’s. We ordered the Chicken Fettuccine as our main entrees and the Italian Creme Cake for dessert. The creme cake had layers of raspberry and coconut flakes in the cake. It was very delicious. The waiters were very attentive.

We went to Cortino’s based on a friend’s recommendation. It was the best Italian food my family has ever had. The food was amazing, the service was great and friendly, and the price was fair. I didn’t take photos of our food but I’m a lifelong customer. Olive Garden has been crap for a long time. This food is authentic and made with high quality ingredients. It didn’t make my stomach sick at all and that is hard to find these days with so much processed junk in our foods. My family can’t wait to go back. Did I mention how awesome the dessert was?

Today was our first-time visit but won’t be our last. I have tried to find a good Chicken Picaata in the Valley. I have had some bad, barely edible Chicken Picaata at some popular Valley restaurants. The Chicken Picaata at Cortino’s is delicious. I’ve found my place. My husband ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo. He loved it. He said the sauce was velvety and the pasta didn’t clump together like you get at some restaurants. Everything was delicious from the salad with the house Italian to the Minestrone soup to the toasted garlic bread and our entrees. We will definitely go back. Many more dishes to try.

They were slammed this Saturday and they even recommended making a reservation for next time. What they really need is more wait staff and even another couple of people in the back would help. It took 30 mins to get seated then another 30 to get our salad and the bread arrived after we were done with our salad. The food took another 30 and getting drink refills meant having to flag down our waitress whenever we could make eye contact. She was working our table and the tables in the other room. It was strange that the waitress that was working the tables around us somehow was not assigned to us, hummm. This made for a poor service experience. Almost felt like we were being singled out, if you get my meaning. We tipped her well but we won’t be going back where we don’t feel welcome. What should’ve taken an hour took two. Too bad, we had high expectations.

Family took me here on a Friday night for dinner. There was a bit of a wait, only due to their support of a dinner theater production for a non-profit! (win-win) Lasagna was some of the best I have had in several years with it coming out in a very timely fashion, even with a packed house.

The desserts here are an absolute must! I’ve visited several times to enjoy the cozy dine-in atmosphere, and most recently came with a large group. I was thrilled to see that the service was just as wonderful; friendly, attentive, and consistent no matter the party size. A true gem in Mercedes, TX!
